Just as the world is ready for the new season of “Doctor Who”, the BBC announced Early Friday Morning that Actress Jenna Coleman, who played the incumbent Companion of The Doctor, Clara Oswald, is leaving the show. And yes, it’s fucking official, according to the BBC Twitter as proof.

The 29 year old actress announced her resignation earlier Friday Morning. She joined the series as a guest star in the Series 7 episode, “Asylum of the Daleks” as Oswin Oswald. Then appeared again in the 2012 Christmas Special, “The Snowmen”, as Clara Oswin Oswald before reappearing in the second half of Series 7 as the companion we all know to whatever side you’re on. There were rumors that the actress was leaving the show when Series 8 began, but she denied the ongoing rumors and stayed for Series 9. Making her the “Longest “Doctor Who” Companion in the Revived Series”

37 episodes with Series 9 premiering tomorrow, making her at First Place. The reason why Jenna decided to leave the show is that she already been cast into another program called “Victoria”, playing the character itself, her majesty Queen Victoria.

So what do you guys think? Will you miss Jenna Coleman as Clara? How will her departure will play out? Who do you think who will be the new companion will be?
