Bob's Burgers Season 13, Episode 17 Review: Sunday Night Madness Part 2: Crow-demic and Dare Pursuit | yahoo201027's Bob's Burgers Reviews

The second of the two, three-episode reviews from the two series from this week and yeah, it's surprising that I'm not dead as of late. Out goes the April Fools episode and now we're going back to the normal episodes and it's a Bob and Tina episode...with a subplot that uh...yeah, we might be talking mid to average here that could downplay the episode. So here comes the second of the two, maybe three-episode reviews from two different series. As for The Great North's episode review...yeah, I think having "Great Bus of Choir Adventure" as its own review should be an easier idea other than mashing it into the Bob's Burgers review at the halfway point of the review. Though I think The Great North's review should be treated with how I have done the show back when the Top 12 Countdown was going on. So I'mma do that for The Great North.

In the second of the three reviews for this week with the second half of the Bob’s Burgers doubleheader, Bob and Tina are going birdwatching, mostly her and Bob to help Tina out to get her bird-watching badge with a flock of crows invading and threatening her shot to get the badge as Louise and Gene hide a secret from Linda about their well doings in the seventeenth episode of Season 13 of Bob's Burgers, titled "Crows Encounters of the Bird Kind"

Yes, folks, we're at the second half of the doubleheader that just came out just this past weekend and out of the three-episode reviews from the two shows, this might be the longest one out of the three that will be coming out throughout this week. Mostly because we got a main plot and subplot for this episode. And now that I just got the first of the three reviews for this week out of the way...did I mention that it's going to be the longest out of the three reviews? Because it does and it will. So usually, the normal episode review much like...well, every week since the start of the season. Just don’t ever do that again as said in the previous episode review. Hopefully for the rest of the year.

The episode starts with Tina doing her best Charlie Brown impression after returning home from her Thundergirl meeting and already, and Tina is overreacting over her future already up in shambles when encounters her family at the dinner table as Bob is currently making food for the said table. And her reason for why she thinks her life is pretty much over, rather, her future, is because of what happened back when Tina's troop, Troop 119, was leaving for the night as everyone is being picked up by their parents as Tina gets stopped by Ginny about the lack of badges that Tina's been getting. And that her lack of badges for her sash would create a problem for Tina because apparently, colleges and universities look through the sash for each of the members as part of the application process. Similarly, businesses, primarily Fortune 500 companies can see through the badge stash and it would get them ahead of life. Something that draws major concerns for Tina from Ginny, who had that issue before back in her troop days...she ended up falling short and back to the present at the dinner table and uh...yeah, for a teenager like Tina, at any age under 18, it's never too early to talk about getting your future straight and need to create something to get into a good school. Otherwise, you would end up in a dead-end job like a burger restaurant...or at least a YouTuber at best.

Either way, Tina is pretty much screwed because of her lack of badges in her sash to help her with her college application. Because mind you, Tina is nearing high school and in high school, you have to create the application the moment you step into the steps of high school as a freshman like you're building a house. It has to be good. It has to be sturdy. You can't just rely on grades and GPA to create the application. You also have to include stuff like after-school activities like volunteering and part-time jobs. I mean, Tina should have got that sucker in the bag. I mean, her in the Thundergirls. Working on the restaurant (even though child labor laws might throw a massive wrench but somehow Arkansas made that legal). Not to mention her being in the debate club, as a hall monitor, volunteer nurse at school, junior lifeguard, independent swim study (mostly in part of Louise's scheme), babysitter, performed a few plays, a member of the Itty Bitty Ditty Committee, attended horse camp, auditioned to be on the school news, and uh...oh yeah, Battle of the Week Champion from 2015. We don’t need to talk about the whole big fish/little fish issue from Season 10.

So Tina decides to gloss through the book of badges to find what is considered to be the easiest for Tina to do to get herself to play catch-up. But trying to find the right one from the book is not easy as it looks. But she did end up finding one in the form of bird watching. Which, alright, not too bad. Nothing wrong with a little bird watching being considered an easy pathway for Tina to earn a badge in an attempt to play catch-up. Even Bob agrees that is something Tina should do if she wants to get another badge to help her create a good resume an attempt to get her into a good college...just kinda wish that student debt would've gone away but oh no, conservatives don't want all of us to have that good shit of not worrying about paying off debt. Other than that, Bob agrees to take Tina to the park tomorrow to help his eldest daughter to find some birds to watch and record them. Great, we have our main plot already taken place...

As seen in the next scene with Bob and Tina making their way out to the park, leaving the restaurant to Linda and the kids while they are away. I'm guessing this is where the subplot will be taking place for the episode, though mind you that the subplot doesn't even start until we get to the second act of the episode. So the rest of the first act will be about Tina and Bob going to the park to go birdwatching. Oh, and don't worry about the whole "gag" regarding Linda having her fly down each time at the start of the episode. That will never be touched again throughout the episode. That's all I have to say. Because that was never brought up later across the line. Just leave it as it is.

Bob and Tina make it to the park in the next scene to being their search for various types of birds across the park and it didn't take long for them to find one on their way across the gate when they spotted a crow. Minding its own business. Easy for the duo because is the first bird crossed off from their list and make their way deep into the park to find more birds...they end up confronting more crows as the montage shows them struggling to find a different type of bird in the park but all they can find are crows. And lots of it because those motherfuckers are everywhere. They are everywhere from the park to the parking spot at your local strip mall whether being one or two or maybe more as if we're expecting to count how many crows are in attendance. I mean, it doesn't show any sign of intimidation as Bob and Tina stroll through the park while birdwatching. You could say that whenever there's a crow, it would signal that bad things are coming as if we're expecting something terrible that could potentially wipe out human existence if you believe in that. But other than that, a nuisance is what I have to say. And they're a nuisance to Bob and Tina because finding one crow is enough for them in their bird search. But dealing with a lot of them while trying to find a different type of bird is like...well, finding a needle in a haystack as the most overused metaphor but I don't want to be canceled during the three-week break right after this, and The Great North's reviews. Oh, but the two did find one type of bird during their search other than crows off-camera. That being the goose and of course...it's He Who Shall Not Be Named. I know that it's Bruce but we really don't need to talk about what happened back in Season 9. Just pretend that didn't happen and not question about that one scene that I don't want to answer. I don't want to answer.

So as the bird search drags on and it's not even a full ten minutes into the episode that they come across the park ranger, Ranger Dainko, as he cleaning up the park because people don’t know how to throw their trash and treats the park as if it’s their own personal trash can. Bob and Tina ask Dainko for help about where they could find to set up shop for them to birdwatch and no joke, we were this freaking close to getting a backstory about Dainko's life story regarding the topic of birdwatching when mentioning that he once spotted a bird, a cedar waxwing, and he called it a spark bird for some reason. Got him to be interested in birdwatching and mostly because he was going undergoing something in his life. It's over a bad haircut. Yeah...a bad haircut that caused him to think that his life had demolished if it weren't for a cedar waxwing bird to come into his life. The same way a person tries to get to work, only to have their car totaled and with no help, you'd think that you're screwed, and then in comes a limousine to pretty much help you get to your destination, even though nowadays people can just call up a ridesharing app. Or a taxi. But enough about cars, let's talk birds because Dainko did provide some help for Bob and Tina about a spot at the park where it's great for birdwatching, as long as they don't do anything stupid that could pose a threat to the birds. Whether being a bird calling through the phone or feeding them something that could harm them like bread. Mostly because the birds are wild animals and feeding them is considered a no-no. And bread to the birds is considered a no-no because it can fuck them up. A warning that Bob and Tina were given by Dainko when heading to the spot to watch over birds. A warning...

That Tina is going fucking ignore when buying bread to bait the birds as we close out the first act of the episode. Why? Why?! Fucking why?! Are you that desperate to get a badge to play catch-up? Not even eight minutes into the episode. At the end of the first act and already, you're going to ignore the rules of what not to do to lure the birds that are not a flock of birds. Because of fucking course she does because that's what the script says. And I'd say that because you're not supposed to give the birds bread. Mostly because it serves zero nutrition for the birds when giving them. It posed a threat to the birds and it can really mess up their bodies. Notably their digestive system. That and rice. Anything grain related is a fucking hazard to the birds. Trust me. I had that problem a few times growing up whenever I went to the park when living in Georgia. Thought that feeding birds bread, though it was ducks or gooses at the time, and mind you that I was a kid back then. I don't know shit. Until finding out that giving feathered animals like birds or ducks or gooses bread isn't the brightest idea, to begin with. Because it's not. But Tina...being desperate to get herself a badge...putting an innocent bird's life at risk, at fucking risk, just to play catch-up and hoping to add something to her college application. And unless "potential bird murderer" is added to the application, we're just pretty much playing desperation as we enter the second act.

And we do so with Bob and Tina returning from the gas station after getting a bag of bread in an attempt to bait the birds to come in their direction in a desperate attempt for Tina to get herself the birdwatching badge in hopes to play catch-up if she wants to make herself look good once she applies to college. Almost gets herself into an anxiety attack over fears that she might not attract any other birds across the park that aren't crows but Bob reassures, despite ignoring Dainko's warning to not bait the birds because they're considered wild animals (and how the bread could pose a hazard to the digestive system of the birds...just, she doesn’t need to be desperate to get the birds’ attention and record their actions into the catalog in hopes to play catch-up. Tina, of course, despite being oftentimes the goody-two-shoes of the family, kinda felt out of character from her. Again, that's the desperation talking because she's worried about not having a good application to get to a good school. I mean, you would be good enough to go to a community college, primarily on how much Bob and Linda can afford to take her there, but then again, you're at that age where as you're preparing to enter high school, other than attempting to create memories, making friends, enjoying your life while you can, building a college resume is what you're going to be focusing on...other than prepping for the PSATs and the SATs. You know, the works to get to a good college. Along with filing for a FAFSA to get that student aid money... which you would have to pay back after graduating college and also the worry that in the event of a military draft returning and in the event either Russia, China, or North Korea declares war on us, God forbid if that were to happen...God, I don't want to imagine that. I get that its voluntary service and the draft didn't exist after Vietnam and congress would have to authorize that. We're living in tense times, folks. Come on! Other than that, it's Tina being desperate as ever in trying to get the birds' attention by giving them bread and having Bob play a couple of bird sounds from his phone. Not from YouTube, but from an app. And not a premium app, but more of the apps you see in the app store and contain ads. Speaking of desperation...

We go into the subplot of the episode, waiting in the wings for ten minutes to get things going for everyone who had been left behind at the restaurant where we have Louise and Gene wishing they should’ve gone with their father and sister to the park and instead, will be doing restaurant work by putting napkins into the napkin dispenser with Linda being left in charge of them while Bob and Tina are away. So the two kids decided to pass the time by playing a few rounds of dares with Louise being the first to take the dare from Gene to place a napkin onto Teddy without him noticing, just as he is about to get another shipment of coffee. With that, it looks like we got a long day ahead with the kids playing a couple of dares to pass the time. Just had to keep it hush-hush so that Linda doesn't find out. Too bad that it won't last long once we get to the scene after the next once she finds out what is going on with those two. But for now...

We switch back to the park with Bob struggling to get a signal for his phone because the area they’re at for some reason despite being in an urban area won’t get you any signal to make a call or go online or in Bob’s case, trying to at least get a single bar to open the app to play the sounds to attract the birds. And then you have Tina who is putting bread crumbs on the ground as bait for the birds as if she's going fishing by using worms and having them attached to the rod. Already defying Dainko's warnings about using stuff to the wildlife to get their attention that could a threat to the human or animal when leaving the pieces of bread on the ground. That, and also creating an opening for ants. Oh yeah, the ants don't mind seeing the bread crumbs around on the ground. You know how the saying goes, "Do you want ants? Because this is how you get ants." Even if it's already spring and the wildlife is already coming out in full force as the flowers bloom and the weather warms up. Ants, like crows, are annoying pests. Especially if you're planning on going to a picnic at a grassy field. Because to them, that's a buffet that is open out of nowhere and comes crawling in a snap.

Back at the restaurant and the dare game continues for Louise and Gene with Gene delivering the plate to a mother and her child and as part of Gene’s dare from Louise that he wants the mother to hand over a fresh diaper and thinks that he might need to take a dump. Of course, as part of Louise's request for a dare for him. Too bad, that Linda spotted them messing around with the customer and having the baby say "poo-poo" before getting caught by their mother and being sent into the kitchen. And you have that kid's mother saying to Gene that potty training can be hard as if an 11-year-old boy like him is currently being potty trained. But other than that, Louise and Gene are in trouble for messing around with the customers as part of the dare game that they've been doing throughout the day. And Linda warns the two to not do it again or at least ground them to put an end to the charade...that is until Linda tells the kids that she wants to throw her hat into the ring. Because why not. We can't end the game too early into the episode, so why not drag Linda into this? And according to her, she used to play the dare game one too many times growing up with people naming her the "Dare-y Queen". Leaving the kids to now shift their focus from each other to their mother as the...well, once we get to the third act of the episode. Pretty much testing her if their mother still got it.

Shifting back to see what Bob and Tina are doing after Tina put up the pieces of bread crumbs onto the grass of the park and waited for the birds to take the bait and luckily, they did. A flock of doves took the bait for Tina to write down anything about the birds. So that's one more bird to be crossed off from the list for Tina to get herself the birdwatching badge. Bob thinks that now is a good time to head out before the ranger finds them with the bread that Tina littered across the area and could also pose a threat to the birds, but Tina...of course, being desperate that she is in hopes of getting a badge just to make her application for college perfect so she can attend a good school once graduating high school, wants to stay put for a bit despite the fears of the ranger seeing them and fine them. Something that Bob doesn't want to deal with, mostly because of the cost that Bob pretty much can't afford to fix the damages that Tina caused. And as if worrying about Dainko coming towards their direction isn’t concerning enough for the two members of the Belchers at the park...

You have a hawk flying over where the doves are as they're busy eating the bread that Tina dropped as bait. Which was the other no-no on why feeding the wildlife isn't a good idea from the start. And this is the shit why you can't feed the wildlife. Because you're gonna have something like a hawk, a predatory animal, flying over a flock of doves like they're prey because they are prey thanks to Tina's actions just to get a goddamn badge. At least the alarm bells started ringing to get the doves out of dodge and pick up the bread before the hawk makes his way toward the doves and consumes them because that is how nature works. Tina tries to retrieve the various pieces of the bread, getting the flock of doves away from the hawk's range, all except for one who kept on eating the damn bread while cleaning up the mess, oh no, you have Ranger Dainko in the background and already adding more pressure towards the two members of the Belcher family. But once we get to the end of the first half of the episode and go into the start of the second...

Oh yeah, that bird is dead. He is dead. And you can thank Tina for dooming that poor dove because of her careless action just to get a freaking badge. Good luck explaining that to the admissions office at whatever college want you to go about you being a potential bird murderer because of her careless actions. As seen at the start of the third act with her and Bob watching the hawk eating that poor dove Tina may have baited the being to its death. And with that, we ended the drought for characters that died on the show...most of them being animals. Pretty much taking notes from certain franchises on how to deal with characters and their deaths. Other than that, the dove is dead and to make things worse for Tina and Bob, Ranger Dainko spotted the two as the suspects behind the bread droppings. Causing Bob and Tina to get out of dodge and attempt to evade capture from the birdwatching site, thanks in part to Bob's app revealing their location and Tina's constant bread pieces on the ground. Not to mention, a death of a bird. Mind you that Bob in the previous episode almost killed Fischoeder with his prank before the actual prank to get his landlord on April Fools' Day. Tina on the other hand in this episode, despite being incidental, led the bird to its death at the claws of that hawk that became the hawk's lunch. So to recap, out of the five members of the Belcher family that somehow committed murder, even if it was incidental because they don't know why the fuck they did that other than being desperate to get a badge to her stash, it ends up being Tina who gets that title. The cheating accusation by Chelsea, embarrassing herself in front of the teens at a Greek restaurant, and now may have been responsible for a dove's death...Tina...what the fuck? Like...what the actual fuck? It's not a good look for you, Tina. Mostly on whoever is doing your episodes as of late this season. It almost feels like you're being treated dirty as we speak. So as Tina and Bob attempt to evade arrest by the park ranger, by the way, did you know that the former president is about to be arrested some time this week...crazy, I know. As Tina and Bob attempt to evade arrest...

You have the next scene back at the restaurant with Linda completing one of her dares from her kids by taking a hot plate, fresh from the dishwasher, and taking it to the counter without letting it go from feeling the heat of the plates. Of course, Teddy still has the piece of napkin on his shoulder before removing it. But Linda completed one of the dares from the kids and is ready to go for the next one...the next one that she ends up refusing to partake in because the new dare from Louise involves a customer and that of course is a big no-no. And therefore, standing her ground. To the point where Louise and Gene, and also Teddy call her out for not accepting the dare to embarrass herself in front of a customer. So pretty much a coward is what they're saying as we prepare to get to the next scene. But Linda stands her ground in not doing her part of the dare...of course, won't last long later in the episode.

Bob and Tina in the next scene continue to evade capture as they continue to go birdwatching despite the notion that Tina incidentally killed a bird by letting it become the hawk's lunch. They spotted a blue jay on the branch for Tina to write down in her notebook. Didn't expect Mordecai from Regular Show to make his appearance after the series ended back in 2017. But other than spotting a random blue jay on the tree, all we're missing is a random raccoon, and at a park no less, Tina now feels bad just now for leaving the bread on the ground that ultimately led to a dove's death. Yeah, no fucking shit. That dove pretty much had a family and your careless action is what led to that bird not being able to see the sunset. Bob tries to calm Tina down but gets cut short as they continue to evade capture from Dainko, which ultimately leads them to the nearest park bathroom.

Which, for the remainder of the third act of the episode is where they’ll be hiding in hopes for the coast be clear and not get caught and facing a possible fine that Bob can't afford to pay. Of course, you have Tina still being bummed over what happened and fears that her future is pretty much DOA as of this point because of her reckless actions all because she wants to get her hands on a badge in an attempt to play catch up and hoping for her to get into a good school once entering adulthood. But it looks like the worrying had to be sidelined once she and Bob take a peek to see if the coast is clear and notices a crow by a log, minding his own business. And that is pretty much what the remainder of the third act and going into the fourth and final act of the episode is going to be focusing on while hoping for the coast to be cleared to get out of dodge from Ranger Dainko. Just them watching over a crow doing its job.

As we switch over once again back to the restaurant with Linda still standing her ground in not wanting to do her dare from Louise and already getting backlash from her, Gene, and Teddy for not accepting the dare that includes disrupting the customer. Something that Linda would not do. Besides, if we're talking...I guess, the context regarding the rules being placed for the family regarding the restaurant, it's not Linda's rule. If possible, it's all Bob. Just to keep things in order and not scare away the customers. And it's the one rule that needed to break just for a day. Leading Louise to pull out her trump card to add pressure on Linda to take the dare whether she likes it or not. By upping the level of the dare from your standard, run-of-the-mill dare to a double dog dare. The type of dare that Linda doesn't want to encounter...until just now from her kids in an attempt to make an ass of herself in front of the customers. And once the "double dog" label has been slapped onto a dare like this one...it's a dare that you can't refuse. Linda wants to keep her pride and not make an ass of herself in front of the customers, especially when being left behind to watch over the place, but she gotta do it. She has to do the job.

Back over to the park’s bathroom to close out the third act and going into the fourth where you have Bob and Tina, hoping for the coast to be cleared for them to make a move to leave the park without getting caught, but were getting distracted by whatever the hell the crow was doing from the comfort of the park bathroom. As if the crow...were to say...her spark bird. You remember in that tiny backstory for Dainko earlier in the episode about him finding his “spark bird” in the form of a...check notes...cedar waxwing. And I guess seeing the flock of crows that’s been surrounding the park since Bob and Tina first got into the park at the start of the episode might’ve been her bird of fate. I dunno, I mean if Dainko found his bird, why not Tina? That’s the only explanation I can find from this episode regarding birdwatching. Tina finds her spark bird and it’s a freaking crow. And no, I don’t think that Tina would go full Itachi Uchiha on her watch regarding crows. And I’m sure taking out her family is completely out of the table. So the two continue to birdwatch the crow by the log...too bad that them watching leads to them being caught by Dainko at the end of the third act. By blasting a megaphone right in front of their faces and hopefully doesn’t result in possible tinnitus.

Entering the fourth act of the episode with Bob and Tina get caught by Dainko thanks in part to them birdwatching a crow at the comfort of the bathroom. This close to being stepped out from the bathroom until Dainko jumps on board on watching the crow trying to do something with a stick in its mouth. And as the crow does their job with the stick in the mouth, pause, Tina apologizes to the ranger about what happened regarding the bread being dropped onto the ground as her sign of desperation in an attempt to earn herself a badge for her sash with her future at stake. And notably enough, Dainko had that issue before where Tina was coming from. Back when he was a scout and was desperate to find the easy way to get himself a badge for his sash. Rose smelling was his badge and yes, that was the badge back in the day for him in his younger days as a boy scout. It's 2023, you pretty much can't judge people on that. Other than that, the three continue to watch over the crow from the bathroom door with Tina proclaiming that the crow is her spark bird as they continue to watch the crow does its thing. Which the crow did by finishing up working on the stick by using it as a fishing rod and using it to scoop a random worm out of the log for the bird to consume. It's a smart bird. A nuisance, but a smart bird. And once the birdwatching is done and the crow flies away with the worm on its beak...guess the question here just as everyone is leaving the bathroom and that would be whether or not the charges have been dropped. After watching the crow does its business by getting a worm out of a piece of log, Tina suggested for the charges to be dropped since Dainko, after catching Tina and Bob from the doorstep of the bathroom, was originally going to fine the two for the bread droppings that lead to a random dove's death. I get that it's a sitcom and in an episodic series and the main answer when bringing up a question that might never to be touched upon is to never question it...yeah, I felt like the charges may have been dropped. If I were to guess, they would've been given a fair warning since it was Tina who did drop the bread pieces onto the ground. The closest fine that would've come out from Dainko's mouth would be at a range between...let's say $50, $100 at the minimum for littering food that poses a threat to the wildlife. So the possible answer I would give for Tina and Bob's situation at the end of the main plot would've been a warning at least than paying a hefty fine. That's probably the best guess for the outcome regarding the whole birdwatching fiasco.

Ready to wrap up the subplot with Linda ready to perform her double dog dare and the dare that Louise cooked up is, of course, having herself walk backward, with her clothes where you can see the outline of her bra being seen from her shirt. And no, the whole issue with the zipper was never touched ever again after the start of the episode. Let that go. Regardless, Linda swallowed her pride and does the dare when taking the orders from the two customers. Luckily, she didn't hurt herself when doing the dare but other than that, at least she had her pride when doing the dare game. And thankfully enough, this game is good as over for the episode as we’re entering the final scene of the episode.

And we enter the final scene of the episode with Tina and Bob returning home from the park with, again, in my guess, given a stern warning than paying a hefty fine, with Tina telling her mother that she's two birds away from getting her badge and is allowed to go back into the park...as long as doesn't do anything stupid like with what happened today. Other than that, it's not too bad of a day for Tina...despite that she led a random dove to become the hawk's lunch but as long as she doesn’t, in her words, becomes a fortune cookie company CEO, things should be okay for Tina when talking about her future. And also noting that it’s never too early to build a college application. But other than that, Bob and Tina did their thing. The others did theirs with Linda completing a series of dares to close out the episode by having a random napkin being placed on Bob’s shoulder to...what is pretty much a mundane episode.

Reaction/Thoughts:

So all and all, what do I think about this week's second episode of the doubleheader of Bob's Burgers? After coming out for a somewhat wild first episode of the doubleheader with an April Fools' episode that went off the chains...yeah, mundane might be the way to go to describe the episode as a whole. It had some okay moments but most of the time felt like it was going slow or fast regarding the pacing. Not to mention, most moments of the episode had little to no spark as if you're feeling a bit empty. Especially when coming out from watching the April Fools' episode.

Yeah, that was a bit of a cocktease from the writers of almost giving someone like the park ranger his own backstory at the start of the episode and I get that it was because him finding his spark bird led up to Tina finding her own by the end of the episode, but don’t freaking cocktease us on giving something from a character that...I guess he was a recurring character but is just there whenever there’s an issue over at the park. Think most notably, the fiasco regarding the bounce house. And I guess the random dove being killed off by a hawk thanks to Tina’s reckless actions in trying to get her badge for her sash was something out of nowhere. Predictable because what Tina did was reckless but something has to be done to end a character death drought since...what? Almost nine months? Other than that, it felt slow and mundane to describe the main plot of the episode. And I still think that Tina and Bob were let go with a warning than paying a hefty fine.

Though the subplot was meh for the most part with the kids playing a few rounds of dares before shifting their focus on Linda, who jumped in rather than punishing Louise and Gene for disrupting the customers. Sure, the gag with Linda having an issue with her fly down was a one-time thing that was never touched after the first few minutes of the episode. And yeah, Linda swallowing her pride and taking the dare from Louise and Gene after refusing to do it because it would disrupt the customers was alright. But other than that, it's felt a bit flat as the episode progresses in between the two plots. I had to rewatch the episode just to make sure. Saving the trouble with the final thoughts because by now, my brain might've been fried after doing two reviews with a third one coming in after this with The Great North, I'll give "Crows Encounters of the Bird Kind"...

A 5 out of 10. It's middle of the road is what I would describe the episode. But that's my opinion and I wanna hear yours in the comments below. And if you notice where there isn't an intermission Great North mini-review sandwiched between the two halves of the episode in this review, that will be its own review and it might as well be in the same format as what I did with the Top 12 Countdown back in 2021 and 2022. So that'll be out either tomorrow or sometime Thursday. It's a short one in almost the style of the mini-reviews from the past reviews since the start of the season. After that, it's a three-week break and we won't be getting new episodes until sometime on April 16 as the possible date to return.
