Fandom Update: Bob's Burgers Season 11 Update and Little to No Update on Upcoming Movie

Normally, the Bob’s Burgers one would be the last one to be talked about because it is the one I talked about the most here in these neck of the woods. But it’s best to do that today at the time of the posting because let’s just say...Infinity Train...Season 3 with its trailer...oh boy, shit is about to hit the mother flipping fan come August. So it is best to talk about the burger fandom firsthand and taking the second spot to talk about from the Comic-Con at Home panel.

Unless y’all were living under the rock, last season, Season 10, while it was going in March was when things turned to shit with the pandemic going out of control with production all-around hitting the pause button and shut everything down. And that was the night, the night of March 11 of 2020, just as I was posting the review of “Yurty Rotten Scoundrels” was when the world turned to shit. The night the world paused believe it or not. From the NBA canceled thanks in par of Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz being a total dumbass to Tom Hanks and his wife tested positive. I mean, you know that the whole coronavirus is serious chizz when Tom Hanks gets the virus. He and his wife Rita Wilson recovered later on, so that’s good. The reviews went on despite the shutdown mostly because the page is pretty much a one-man band and the season goes on into May though with concerns with what’s about to go down for the next season being Season 11.

Well, before the San Diego Comic-Con at Home panel, there were worries that with the current pandemic going on and how it was affecting production even though it’s animated and NOT live-action, some think that the season would be cut down to 10-12, maybe 13 episodes for the season instead of the usual 22 episodes. Well looks like that’s not the case cause Loren Bouchard over at Twitter state that the season will go the 22-episode route and that the show is still in production at the comfort of their homes.

Next being major changes in the cast, most importantly in the aisle of diversity hire following the protests that been happening since the start of the Summer with Hollywood looking at the mirror and thinking to themselves what they’ve done. From Jenny Slate resigning her role in Big Mouth to Kristen Bell resigning her role in Central Park (update being that there’s a new voice actress for Bell’s old character in Molly and I wish that new actress the best of luck as the show goes on) to now Bob’s Burgers, most importantly with David Herman and now Katie Crown giving up their roles as Marshmallow and Harley with the new voices pending to be announced. Would continue on, but one slip up could possibly spell the end of me over at the Internet. So let’s get over to the recap section, or in this case, updates regarding Season 11.

So Season 11 starts on September 27 and it looks like we have an episode to start off the new season with “Dream a Little Bob of Bob”. And it looks like for the season premiere, like with Season 7 back in 2016, of an episode with a character in a dream-like state. In “Flu-ouise”, Louise came down with the flu and when she decided to not forgive her family for damaging Kuchi Kopi, thanks in part from Linda, sending her to the dream world like it’s Wizard of Oz. Four years later since I have done that review and I have never even watched the movie. Oh go ahead and cancel me over that. But anyway, looks like this season premiere will be another character going into the dreamscape with this time being Bob. Don’t know what’s the full synopsis is all about but we’ll wait and see about all of that come let’s say around maybe August. Onto the next episode…

Comic con @ Home panel revealed some preview clips of season 11. from r/BobsBurgers
In the form of the second episode of the new season in “Worms of In-Rear-ment" and there’s no script cover but we got clips courtesy of Reddit user u/mcdonaldsmcdonalds for the clip from that aforementioned episode showing Gene and Louise in the living room with Louise building something, probably out of boredom, with the family getting ready to attend an event with them helping Tina having some trouble putting on her dress and once that’s done, more trouble lies ahead with Gene in need of an itch on the butt and that’s about it for the clip. Sounds like something that may have already mediocre episode written all over it and not mention, coming from the cast and crew during the panel, it’s an episode that is pretty much a jab to the current pandemic. Only downgrade the pandemic to epidemic and switch COVID to pinworms in butts...really don’t want to imagine how the process played out. But it looks like we got an epidemic episode that may or may not be a jab at the current coronavirus pandemic cause according to them, this was before the pandemic became a part of normal life.

Onto the next one with “Copa Bob-bana”, the next episode to have its clip shown in the same video above shows Bob falling in love with the kitchen when helping out with the Fischoeder brothers. They’re back in the show after a season hiatus following Season 9 and yeah, Bob living the fantasy of the cabana that the Fischoeder brothers want to open but knowing the typical Bob’s Burgers fashion, it looks like the place isn’t going to last long, so there’s that.

Other episodes being brought up include “Heartbreak Hotel-oween”, which is the Halloween episode of this year. “The Terminalator II: Terminals of Endearment”, we get Linda’s parents back in the episode, which looks likely to air for Season 11. “Yachty or Nice” presumes to be the show’s Christmas episode. “Diary of a Poppy Kid” looks like it’s going to be this year’s Thanksgiving episode and not just a Thanksgiving episode, it looks like it’s another one of these episodes where the kids tell their stories. And the episode after the Halloween one, after the break from the week where you usually have Game 5 of the World Series take place, possibly around November with “Bob Belcher and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Kids” being the 200th episode. 200 episodes. Hard to believe that we’re about to hit another milestone. Don’t know if that episode is going to be aired on that day mostly because of how the pandemic is affecting the MLB season and if the World Series goes as plan, then, take it with a grain of salt, we could have two episodes in one night to reach to that 200th episode. Cause “Prank You For Being a Friend” is episode 194, 193 if you count the idea of “The Bleakening” being a two-parter, which...apparently it feels like it is despite the premiere having it as a full one-hour episode. Then the season premiere would be 195, the worm episode at 196, the cabana episode at 197. Then you have an empty void between 198 and 200. Almost sounds like a doubleheader may seem possible but it’s too early to tell and it looks like we will wait and see about that.

Though if anyone were hoping for some movie updates since being pushed back to April of 2021 due to the pandemic. Were hoping for some escapism from the tire fire that was 2020, looks like that’s going to have to wait. I mean, it was expected for the movie to be pushed back. John Roberts in an interview last year state that the movie would possibly be moved back. Mostly hoping for the holiday season, either around Thanksgiving or Christmas but instead, it’s April. Usually at the timeframe where the show goes on a brief break. Easter holiday. But other than that...that’s about it. Pretty much little or no update regarding the movie other than being pushed back to next year thanks in part to the pandemic. And of course, no word on when the trailer is going to be dropped. Just hope 20th Century Fox or Disney doesn’t plan on Half Life 3 the shit out of the movie and play the waiting game.

But anyway, thank y’all so much for checking out this article/recap and my thoughts on what’s to come for Season 11 and I wanna hear yours in the comments below and of course, the reviews will be coming back come the week of the premiere, the Wednesday of the premiere that is. And follow me over at Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram for staying up to date behind the scenes and whatnot. And if you want to help the page out…

You can do that over at PayPal, Patreon, and Ko-fi pages to do all that. Two down, one to go and it looks like it’s somewhat of a trailer breakdown for the third season of Infinity Train, possibly around tomorrow in the final day of Comic-Con at home. Unless there’s more, coming from both Rick and Morty and Archer...nah, I think three’s enough. So that’ll do it for this article and I’ll see y’all later.
