Fandom Update: Clips Galore: OK KO and Rick and Morty Dropped Clips for San Diego Comic Con

This is gonna be a long weekend, for everyone reporting what’s going down over at Comic Con, including myself, who is not currently attending just like everyone else who want to go there but of course, XYZ reasons from plane tickets to saving their strengths for the upcoming Area 51 raid in September, not hoping to be gunned down by the freaking military.

A lot of stuff has dropped like ballistic missiles hitting various targets coming from various panels whether if it’s trailers for the new chapter of the It series or learning that Top Gun is coming back with an aging, yet not-so aging Tom Cruise thanks to the powers of scientology to of course, clips, news, and trailers coming from whether if it’s OK KO, Rick and Morty, Steven Universe, or Bob’s Burgers, looks like we’re gonna split it into three articles. Hoping to not lose you guys and probably hop over to somewhere like let’s say a site that contains various viruses enough to combust your laptop or your phone. And we begin with both OK KO and Rick and Morty with them dropping their clips for future episodes and we begin with OK KO.

So this is a thing now! This is actually a thing. Crossovers when it come to OK KO isn’t new when it comes to I guess the lore whether if it’s the crossover with Captain Planet, telling fans that the planet’s fucking dying in climate change and that was in 2017 when dealing with wildfires and floods and kick ass hurricanes. I went through one of them. A year later, we got the Crossover Nexus episode with KO teaming up with Ben from Ben 10, not the 2005 series, the 2016 tire fire one, Garnet from Steven Universe, two characters that made it to the final round in the voting tournament only to lose to an Anime Character from Funimation, and also Raven from the series that should not be named. And of course, that Halloween episode with Enid getting a visit from the monster girls from that Scooby Doo movie where Shaggy and Scooby visit the Ghoul School. To answer your question to the girl who asked what happened to them, oh nothing, when through hell and back with zombies and aliens and weird cameos from WWE superstars. Oh nothing much, probably too busy being a fucking god who just used only 1% of his power to even rival Beerus the God of Destruction. If that what you’re looking for.

And then to here we are, the present year, 2019. We got the date on when the episode is gonna come out on August 4, which is on a Sunday, at around the 4:30pm slot, so uh, please watch it because the show need the ratings. Ratings are important. Back to the crossover. And the new character from a random franchise that will be hopping over to the KO-verse will be of course, Sonic.

Yeah...Sonic. As in Sonic the Hedgehog from SEGA. The blue hedgehog that didn’t went through a lot of therapy following that disturbing live action movie trailer. Ben Schwartz as the character wasn’t a bad choice, it was a decent decision to cast him but design wise with the character...no. Just...just no. And also Tails is tagging along for the ride in this crossover. Seems that Knuckles is too busy trying to put those Ugandan Knuckles memes from last year to finally put to rest and no, I do NOT know the wae.

But either way, the clip was short, only a minute long, and the characters of both Sonic and Tails doesn’t show up until the near end of the clip with KO fanboying with the two showing up at the bodega. And of course, that title card with KO popping up in between both Sonic and Tails as we fade to black. And that’s pretty much the clip for the upcoming episode and make sure you watch the full episode on August 4 on Cartoon Network and tell me which character from any series would be next to jump in the OK KO universe in the comments down below as we now go into Rick and Morty territory.

They themselves dropped a clip for their upcoming fourth season ready to be released on Adult Swim in November and we have ourselves a clip with both Morty and Jerry with an alien on the chair with Jerry telling the alien (voiced by guest actor Taika Waititi) to shut the app down but of course, Morty got peeved off and ends up destroying the computer that made the app. Don’t know why he got peeved off? Could possibly see as either Morty getting annoyed and just done with the app and shit or that noticing that something is off with the app, something like with people’s information or like with Doctor Who with those spoon heads back in the Matt Smith era and downloading people to the cloud using an ominous Wi-fi connection.

Interrogating the alien via shaking him about the server, which happened to be located on the mothership and tried to get him to take both Morty and Jerry to the ship but refused despite that it’s coming to the planet, only for a beeping sound with a red, flashing light to bright up. In which the duo jumped away to the door, thinking that he’s carrying an explosive device and probably self-destruct. Only it didn’t and noticed that he’s escaping the Smith-Sanchez household and used that beep as a diversion to exit out, only to be caught and brought back by Morty with Jerry holding the device and noticed a beeping app on his phone and to close out the clip with Morty telling Jerry that he has to be mad at the guy despite that he seems somewhat impressed with the alien’s diversion to escape.

Although that we didn’t get a trailer dropped for Season 4 over at the Adult Swim YouTube channel, bummer, we did get a clip for an upcoming episode for the upcoming season and don’t know what that clip from an upcoming episode, so consider this a consolation prize for the fans who are eagerly waiting for the next installment of Rick and Morty. So what do you think what went down in this clip? Any theories, predictions, all that about that clip for an upcoming episode of Rick and Morty in the comments down below.
