Bob's Burgers Season 13, Episode 13 Review: The Curious Case of the Missing Missile and Card Hopping | yahoo201027's Bob's Burgers Reviews

Preparing to transition from winter going into the spring season and so much for the six more weeks of winter from Phil...unless you live up north in the Dakotas and Minnesota where you had snow or in California. And I'm not talking about the Sierras where that place would usually get snow when it was being brought up. I'm talking about Southern California. Los Angeles. It snowed there and the National Weather Service there issued a blizzard warning in the mountainous areas. I mean, yeah, the mountains usually get snow in unusual areas like in a place where it's often warm almost every day. Take a look at Hawaii with its mountains. But for everyday people, especially on the internet, a snow day in SoCal, even if it's as small as flurries and would consist of...let's say a trace of snow on the ground, then motherfuckers out there would believe that we're in the setup stages of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow".

In this week’s episode of Bob’s Burgers, it’s Linda on the case with her volunteering at the school after accusations are being thrown onto Louise for something that she may or may not have committed as Bob helps Teddy in trying to find the right design for a business card in my spoilerific review of the thirteenth episode of Season 13, titled “Stop! Or My Mom Will Sleuth!”

It’s another game of whodunit like it’s the game of Clue if anyone remembers that game. This isn't the first time the show had gone through an episode where someone is the suspect or there's something suspect as if we're playing Among Us if anyone even remembers that game. It's a dead game and I'm not even a gamer myself. Okay, I use to game, but you know what I mean. This isn't the first time the show had done that. Alright, yeah, the movie is the recent was a whodunit over the murder of a carnie and the Belcher kids solving a mystery to prove Mr. Fischoeder's innocence. Before the events of the movie, you had “Turkey in a Can” from Season 4 with the situation regarding the uncooked turkey in the toilet. “A Few ‘Gurt Men" from Season 7, is more of a blame game but it has that whodunit feeling on whether or not Frond was the person responsible for eating Ambrose's yogurt. And of course...you have a shit episode like “Fender Benderful” where it had been a full-on blame game on who caused the four-way accident.

Wherein this week's episode, it's mostly momma bird looking out for her kids and wanting to know if one of her own is innocent of a crime that they did or did not commit regarding a stolen item at school. Especially with Louise being the suspect-in-question over the accusation that is being thrown at her whether or not she has stolen an item and Linda starting an investigation on whether or not she (Louise) did the deed while doing some volunteering. I mean, if we know one thing about Louise is that she can be mischievous at times. That is her character...well, before the turn of the decade where she had to dial back, and some of her episodes at times is her having to learn a lesson. But stealing? Pretty sure that ain't her character where she can steal stuff...unless it's for important stuff but she's never a stealer. And that is what Linda is proving when going full detective mode throughout the school day. Wanting to prove her daughter's innocence is that we're about to dive in...oh, and there's a subplot too. So we're gonna get to that as well. This is "Stop! Or My Mom Will Sleuth!"

The episode starts with Linda taking the kids to school and you'd think that it came out of nowhere for her to take the kids to school even though they can just go on their own as usual since the school is only about four blocks away from the restaurant. But no, the reason behind Linda taking her kids to school is that she's volunteering to help the school for the day. It’s pretty much her doing some work at the front office. Mostly working on envelopes, and putting up mail in the mail cabinets, you know how students often do front office work whenever they have their class schedule and have front office work. Had that in my schedule back in my senior year of high school. And hopefully, with Linda being present at the school, you'd think that she would probably embarrass each of the Belcher kids. I mean, Gene would be fine with Linda around because, of course, he's a momma's boy and not afraid to hide it. Tina and Louise...eh, maybe. But they'll probably ignore it. Though if this were the usual shows you'd seen in media, then yeah, you would see the whole "Mom, you're embarrassing me." Here, not so much. They're fine with having Linda around at school as long as they do their usual day at school. Tina and Gene don't mind having Linda attend the school for the day with Tina coming up with a secret code to greet each other and Gene...well, pretty much showing his mom some gratitude. Louise, business as usual for her as the four make their way to school.

Linda arrives to begin her work with Ms. Selbo, the school's receptionist, giving her a quick rundown of what to expect from her day at the school. Giving her the assignment for the day and the only assignment for the day for Linda by having her put paper into the envelopes. And this isn't Linda's first time volunteering. She had done it before as said in a flashback to the year prior when we jammed her finger onto the copier when trying to make copies. As if she doesn’t know how a copier work and this coming from the same person who once attended a burger convention and she and Bob want to use a fax machine to make contact with Teddy during his time babysitting the kids. But other than that, the envelope job would be the only task for Linda as she tries to bring in some energy to the school when being seen at the teacher’s lounge. Almost sounds like the usual Monday in the workforce. So that is what Linda is going to be doing for the day...by doing office work. You'll get used to it. High school students, primarily seniors and oftentimes juniors and maybe sophomores have to go through that. But it looks like Linda’s focus for the day might be on something else because...

We get to the next scene with Linda making her way back to the office with a cup of coffee in her hand when she overhears a conversation between Mr. Frond and Ms. Selbo about an incident regarding theft. Throwing some accusations against Louise as the suspect-in-question behind the theft. Okay, Louise can do anything like pulling a prank or messing around with someone for shits and giggles, but theft? I'm pretty sure that Louise wouldn't do anything like stealing. That does not fit into her character. Mischievous is one thing, but her being a robber doesn't fit her. It doesn't. But you have Mr. Frond already jumping to conclusions during his talk to Selbo with him saying that if Louise stole the item, which happened to be a missile toy, she would get into trouble. But here's the scummy thing regarding Frond in this part of the episode and saying that if Louise didn't do the crime and is free of charge, she would still get in trouble because it's Louise. Like...what the fuck? Where is your evidence? Do you even have evidence to prove your case? Frond is going to blame Louise either way. Pitting blame onto her in the event she gets acquitted of a crime that she didn't even freaking commit. The same way a person gets stopped for a traffic violation because you were going over the speed limit and the cop decides to put in some bullshit and implant something to not help your case, possibly a bag of drugs, and have you arrested. If this doesn't tell you that society is fucking bullshit and broken as hell, there's your proof!

It’s almost the same as what happened back in Season 7 in “Thelma and Louise (Except Thelma is Linda)” when Louise got in-school suspension by Frond over pantsing a random kid because according to Frond, it was mostly her being mischievous and possibly for shits and giggles. But Louise only did it because that kid and his friend took a lunch box that belonged to Pocket-Sized Rudy and had to retrieve the box because no one was there to help the poor guy. She did a good deed but Frond doesn't think so when he entered the cafeteria and puts her into in-school suspension. Which, to Louise, it's bullshit. Even Linda sees it as bullshit. So once again for this episode, it's Louise who didn't do anything wrong, Linda wanting to prove her innocence, and Frond...of course, being a fucking hack. Because that is what he is. Always gonna pit blame Louise even if she didn't do anything wrong. Do you know why? Because Frond is a hack.

Cutting over to the start of the subplot of the episode with Bob finishing writing the burger of the day as Teddy questions his business card as he pulled out from his wallet and notices that outdated. And the detail of the card speaks for itself when looking at the card from Bob when holding the item. Noticing the name of the card of Teddy's small business as "The Handy Hubby" because he used to be married to Denise before things fell apart with their marriage as Russia's artillery during their invasion. Not to mention, the phone number was scrubbed off with a pen because of the change of phone number. I mean, yeah, at the age of the internet where most companies rely on social media like Facebook or Twitter to put out their business, and the info there can easily be edited. But paperback like a card, finding the right design, can be...uh...a semi-difficult process to search. Leading towards Bob to suggest Teddy to find a new design of a card online...on the family laptop because you gotta need a computer on standby to help Teddy in finding a new card. Sure, doing the job on mobile would've helped since there are apps out there, but that’s the subplot, folks. We’re going card hunting.

Back at the school, Linda questions herself whether or not the accusations about Louise stealing an item are true. Whether she believes that Louise didn't do anything wrong but at the same time, would be disappointed to hear that Louise would do something like that. Even though, again, Louise can be mischievous but stealing isn't her forte. Luckily for Linda, she spotted Tina and later Gene in the hallway with Tina making her way to the nurse's office because of a scraped knee and Gene going towards the bathroom. Questioning the two eldest children about the stolen missile toy that became the center focus of the investigation and already, Linda is getting some leads from Tina about the toy. Apparently, the missing toy belongs to a student named Jason Jeffers, and the brand of the toy belonged to Burobu. And guess who likes Burobu? Louise. Even though Linda questions Burobu, the franchise that Louise likes, is only for trading cards. But it looks like they're more than a trading card franchise. Would not be surprised if there are figures of each of the slugs. Pokémon did it throughout their time of relevance back in the late 90s going into the early 2000s. Would not be surprised if Yu-Gi-Oh were to supply weapons of mass destruction as part of their trading card decks. But that's more than enough for the first set of leads for Linda to investigate the situation and must now talk to the suspect-in-question.

Going to LaBonz’s class and interrupting the lesson to get Louise out of the classroom to have a private talk in the hallways. Questioning her if she had anything to do with the missing Burobu missile toy and whether or not she stole it. Which, Louise denies the accusations and questions who would be accusing her of something that she didn't commit. And Louise would put two and two together on who started the accusation train coming from how Linda is saying in trying to keep her mouth shut and not make things worse. Because it would not help her in her case if Louise were to find out that Frond started the accusation because of a missing Burobu missile toy, which Louise stated that it’s a dumb toy and that it has nothing to do with the franchise other than the franchise only made the toy because...well, money. Besides that, it seems that Louise is innocent and had nothing to do with it. And Linda would believe that but knowing that Frond would downright blame her because of freaking course, she had to be the scapegoat because she's pretty much the first person on the tip of the tongue. So it's now up to Linda to solve the case, hopefully, that it doesn't turn into a Scooby-Doo type of mystery, and unmask somebody. Otherwise, I’d expect a future Bob’s Burgers episode where it becomes a Scooby-Doo mystery.

Ending Act 1 of the episode and going into Act 2 with Linda phoning in Bob, who is busy flipping burger patties with them talking about the situation regarding the missing toy and whether or not Louise is guilty of the crime that Louise said it herself that she didn’t do the crime and they want to believe her. Linda wants to believe her youngest daughter that she didn't do anything wrong like stealing a toy that ties into her favorite franchise, even if she stated that it had nothing to do with the cards that she is most familiar with. Again, Linda would want to believe Louise that she didn't do anything wrong but it's Louise and she's pretty much Little Ms. Troublemaker with a track record of the stunts that she pulled in the past. So the idea of whether or not the accusations are true...well, again, it's an accusation. Often times are true but you need evidence to have it to become true. Frond as of this moment has little to no evidence to prove that Louise did the crime and just gonna go full scapegoating because once again, he's a hack. But at least Linda is doing the job to see whether or not the deed may have been committed by Louise. She already got her first two leads being that it used to belong to a kid named Jason Jeffers and it's a Burobu brand when talking about the toy missile. And she still got a full day to go before the ringing of the final bell. And that leads to the next scene for her third lead in this investigation...

Going back to the front office with Linda attempts to play cool by doing her work by working on the envelopes where she decides to trick Selbo to get out of the office so she can get the incident report to read through the names. And how does Linda does it? By creating a ruse by telling Selbo that she needs more caffeine in her body for the day. And Selbo ends up buying it and left her office to bounce her way to the teacher’s lounge and that’s more than enough for Linda to read through the entire sheet that Frond gave to Selbo that contains the names of each of the students that committed an act. Of course, got stopped by Gene for a bit for him to blow a kiss to his mother on his way to his destination. But she reads through the names of possible suspects and notes that Choo-Choo's name is on that list. And if anyone remembers who that is? Yeah...it's been a long while. He was the guy who annoyed the crap out of Gene by finishing his jokes before he can even land.

So Linda scrolls down through the list of names and sees Louise's name at the bottom but the name seems rather off because normally, it would have "Louise Belcher" written down on the form. But instead, it's written as "Louise hearts Burobu = Louise Did It”. Which, yeah, that seems off. And you’d probably guessed it right away when watching the episode and think to yourself, “Yeah, there’s no way Louise would write that as her name. Don't think that's even her handwriting." Of course, her time reading through the incident report gets cut short when Selbo is making her way back to the office and Linda is coming in clutch, well, didn't have time to put the report back into the folder and have to play it cool upon Selbo making her return. And she is keeping her cool and does not make things suspicious as if she's not doing her work once she asks Selbo to check through the absent sheet to help with her case. Again, nothing too suspicious. Just a parent glossing through the binder and just want to explore the sheet of names and not act like a total stalker. Or a cop. As long as she is not being suspicious, then the investigation should be smooth sailing...or until something comes in and would put a huge dent in Louise's chances of her being innocent.

Going back to the restaurant with Teddy going through the design portion of the cards in hopes of him getting a new stack with Bob and Mort, yeah, Mort made an appearance in this episode, but only for a quick second. A few seconds of fame right there for everyone’s favorite mortician as Teddy continues to scroll through each design for the business card. But it appears that the Teds-ter here is...uh...well, he’s becoming picky when it comes to the design. Mostly on which design is the right fit for him. I mean, yeah, if you want to attract the public and have your business, even though you’re pretty much a one-man band for a small town like Seymour’s Bay, you need to find the right design. It’s like trying to find a house and you search for the perfect one for you in the event you end up moving there. Whether being the acre of land, the style of each room, or the cost, it's all there in trying to find if the house you're looking for is the right fit. And that is what Teddy is going through when searching around each of the designs that are shown on the screen. And as Teddy continues to scroll through the design on the site like an influencer trying to find the right filter for an Instagram photo...

Bob gets another call from Linda, who decided to make a private call in the school bathroom about the situation and the leads that she collected earlier in the day. Telling Bob about the said leads and finding out that the names on the incident report that Frond gave to Selbo earlier in the episode, as well as the file that she read through from the binder where students sign in their name to excuse their absence and questions whether or not their absence would be considered an alibi. And even though Louise is the suspect-in-question at the center of the limelight, you never know because there have to be other people who liked Burobu. It’s any given Sunday for the case. Though I don’t know why Linda didn’t bring up the name “Louise hearts Burobu = Louise Did It” at the end of the sheet? Because again, a normal incident report would have “Louise Belcher” written on it. That name...yeh, it's hella sus. And I can’t believe that I said that in the year of our lord 2023. But yeah, that looks freaking sus and Linda did not bring it up to Bob during the phone call.

Switching over from the bathroom to the outside with the fourth graders playing a round of kickball with Rudy stepping up onto the plate for Louise's team with Kaylee rolling the ball towards him to kick, which he did for the team to reach one of the bases as the Pesto twins take their turn and just in time for Linda to pull Louise out from the lineup for a bit and asks her once more about the situation with Louise telling Linda that she's innocent and once again, the missile that is currently the center point of the episode as a plot device is nothing more than a middle finger towards Burobu fans like herself. So once again, she knows nothing about the item and once again, says that she's innocent as she gets called up to the plate for her turn to kick the ball. Once again, the tracks for the investigation remain cold for Linda to prove Louise's innocence.

Going back to the subplot with the search for the right business card design and once again, at a stalemate because Teddy can’t find the right design for the card. Bob decided to give a card a shot from a mechanic, pretty much a test run for the whole card search of a subplot and makes his way upstairs but not before the main plot decides to intervene with the subplot once more with Bob remembering what Linda said through his past phone calls throughout the day regarding the stolen missile toy and decides to at least lend his hand onto the situation by going into Louise's room. Though in a careful manner because he thinks that Louise's room may have been booby-trapped. Like...she's gone for the day for school? What would be the purpose for her to set up a security system, Home Alone style? But alas, no booby-trapped once entering the room and notices something on her loft bed desk as the scene cuts over to Linda doing her school office work while remembering her leads for her investigation. That thought gets interrupted by Bob making a phone call once more and found out that the item that Bob found in Louise's room was a Burobu book, rather than a magazine and wouldn't you guess it...it has the picture of the missile. The same missile that became the plot device for the episode that Louise is accused of possible theft. Putting the adults, primarily Linda, at a stalemate and Louise's claim that she's innocent...it's starting to dwindle. Dwindling more than the government's response to a train derailment. Yeah, not looking good for the Belchers as we close out the first half of the episode and now we enter the halftime portion of the review and this is where The Great North's mini-review of the episode comes into play. And normally, the main plot would go first when doing this. But...it looks like I might as well touch on the subplot because...how should I explain this?

Yeah, Beef is a terrible liar in this episode and it keeps on blowing up to his face. That is what happened in the subplot of this week's episode when Beef's past decides to haunt him in the form of an old high school in her wedding dress just as the Tobin boys, with Judy and Honeybee already off to Sisters' Day festival, are about to head off to a pickle place. Of course, an old flame decided to drop by and reminds Beef of a pact that the two made back in high school with Beef telling Wolf, Ham, and Moon about the said pact that if both he and Zelda, the name of the person who is in the dress and automatically proclaims herself as the new Mrs. Tobin, that if the two reach their 40s and remain single that they would get hitched.

You could say that Kathleen leaving him and ending up filing a divorce would be the exception, but apparently, divorce is not the exception for the pact because the reason for the pact was to make Kathleen jealous. The same way as...if anyone remembers or watched DBZ Abridged where at the end of Episode 30, the end of Season 2, being the Namek saga, where in the original, Vegeta headed off to space to find Goku. But in the Abridged series, Vegeta headed off to space for fuck knows other than fucking off and gets a video call from Nappa and the wish that stated to bring back everyone who had been killed by Frieza and his men...technically, Vegeta worked for Frieza, and Nappa worked for him when he killed him. Though if you listened to the creator commentary that TeamFourStar put out as of late, the reason is mostly that the Ghost Nappa experiment had gotten old and somewhat irrelevant, and decided to make him a producer. So the fact that divorce was not the exception when the pact was made, especially once hearing that Beef is back in the single life and had to raise four kids on his own, really blew up to his face. Especially when reaching his 40s.

But the parade of lies for the episode...I get that Beef had struggles of trying to say no and I get that Beef only had those issues because he doesn't want to upset anyone...but boy, that was hard to watch with the lies being thrown when trying to get Zelda out of Beef's life by creating a fake wife. Also, the fact that she brought out two stuffed dolls that she claims to be Beef’s potential step-sons, can’t tell if she needs some help, milk, or maybe Jesus. Or all three. But the lies that Beef kept on creating and Wolf having to step in to call in the likes of Jerry, Alyson, Kyle, Londra, etc. to help with Beef's dilemma to get Zelda out of the household as if she's holding the family hostage. I mean, Alyson I get because there are often times when she can be flirty towards Beef whenever she's around. But the fact that Wolf didn't even call in someone like...oh, I don't know, Dell or that poetry lady, Meatweep, seriously, who named these characters, and it worked...mostly by accusing Beef of being a potential player and this is a guy who asked all three women to the dance earlier in the season.

The main plot was uh...it's alright. I mean, nothing wrong with having Judy and Honeybee to be the duo of the week for the show, and to me, it was an interesting take to have them being paired up. And that is mostly because Judy, being the only female member of the family, had no female role model. Had no female figure growing up. I mean, Kathleen fucked off from the family. She had to rely on an imaginary friend through the northern lights. Sure, she has Alyson on her side but that's mostly because she's her employee at the mall (and also her flirting with Beef). And yeah, Kima and Amelia are there also in her life. But Honeybee when paired with Judy for this episode is an interesting take and them attending the Sisters Day festival would explore their dynamic since Honeybee entered into the Tobin family’s lives. Though at first, despite the two enjoying their time from each of the activities they were doing from bedazzling jeans to beating a pinata of a guy with a crown with the word “patriarchy”, it felt like Honeybee seemed to be unimpressed with the festival and that resulting in upsetting Judy, but that was before finding out that the guest of honor in a female empowerment festival happened to a dude and turns it into a Ponzi scheme and have people fall in line as if we’re experiencing a formation of a cult. But at least they were saved by the two people who they came across when being at the sharing tent who also knew that something was off.

Other than that, it's not a great episode but it's not a bad one either. I did enjoy the idea of the duo between Judy and Honeybee because we rarely see them together on the show. And yeah, a sentimental moment for the two when being trapped inside a porta potty with Judy thinking that she screwed up because she wants to impress Honeybee with Honeybee saying to her that she doesn't have to do that and sees Judy as a sister herself...well, sister-in-law but reminder, Judy had no female figure growing up in between Kathleen leaving and Honeybee entering the family. So it’s a 4 out of 10, maybe a low-end 5 out of 10 for “Sister Pact Too Adventure". The only downside of the episode would be the subplot and uh...my brother in Christ, Beef, that was brutal to watch if I have to be honest. Back to the Bob's Burgers review for the second half of the episode. And even though we're about to enter March, or by the time this review is posted, it became March, the tracks continue to freeze.

Linda is in quite a dilemma over what Bob found in Louise's room and not helping Louise's chances of her proclaiming that she's innocent. Luckily, it's lunchtime for the school and Linda makes her way to the cafeteria and once again, asks Louise about the leads that she found so far. Mostly the magazine that was found by Bob on the table in her room. But Louise stated in her case that she had nothing to do with the missing missile toy. And the reason why she left the magazine on the table is because of an ad that she spotted and it's not the missile that she is accused of stealing, but instead, it's pretty much a special deck of cards that she wants to get her hands on. Nothing more. Though Linda bring up the issue being why the item was sticky when having that small talk at PE. Apparently, Jason Jeffers, the person of interest or victim, has sticky fingers because he ate a peanut butter and honey sandwich and never had the freaking time to wipe his hands to get rid of the sticky substance before touching the item. The pandemic might be dwindling but come on! But that itself leads Linda to start having doubts on whether or not Louise is innocent despite the constant claims that she didn't do anything wrong and decides to storm out with Tina and Gene with Tina giving her the remains of her mac and cheese and once again, the tracks have gotten colder that it's now dangerous to drive. Or so we thought because once the lunch period ends...

You have Rudy coming in to throw his tray away and just as he is about to do that, he is being questioned by Linda about the missing missile toy and telling her about his honest comment about Louise with him saying that she’s a complicated fella when answering the question if she’s a good person. Just be grateful that Louise is not here and didn’t hear that settlement. Linda questions Rudy about the missing missile toy and told him that she searched everywhere from her backpack to the locker. But it looks like Linda may have gotten another lead into the investigation from Rudy when he brought up that Louise apparently has two lockers. Yeah, two lockers. Going off annexing lockers as if she's Disney and buying every company into their column. She has two lockers. She had a normal locker, her assigned locker. And then there's the second one which she dubbed "Rudy-ville” because it was closer to his locker. Oh jeez, I wonder why? But the fact that Louise has two lockers without anyone questioning about it...it makes you baffle how someone was to have two lockers in her column unless it was either by mistake by the system or she blackmailed Selbo to give her the vacated locker by Rudy's. Somebody better answered that. And by somebody, I mean Loren himself.

Switching over to the subplot with Teddy glossing over the mechanic's card courtesy of Bob when going through the design and Teddy would see this as a possible contender for the design it looks minimalistic. It's clean and simple and would attract everyone to improve business. And Teddy would go with that design, edit some stuff, and then call it a day and wait for the shipment to arrive but...once again, Teddy was picky over the design because even though somewhat enjoyed the design, apparently a minimalistic design is bland. Leading both him and Bob to go to a musical number about what Teddy wants in a card and what he wants when it comes to design. Again, trying to find the right design is like finding a house. It all depends on your taste and what you want to see in that house. Can't have an empty house. Let alone a house where it hasn't been used since the 1970s and it wasn’t a scene from a murder investigation. The 1970s were a wild time with serial killers roaming around. But besides that, Bob and Teddy hit a stalemate when trying to find the right design for the business card. And I don’t think going to an office store or a Walmart or anywhere really and creating the design would work. Let alone if it fits into a wallet. Spoilers, it doesn't.

Going back to the school at the front office with Linda collecting her thoughts about the various leads that she got from earlier in the day while working on putting papers onto the envelope and didn't do much doing it. Didn't do anything because her focus throughout the day is on whether or not Louise did the deed. She plans on going to the empty locker, the one that is near Rudy's locker but needs the combination for the said locker. And that's when she spotted a book with the combination numbers for each locker and decides to trick Selbo once more to get her out of the office. She did the coffee trick earlier in the episode and this time around got to the combination of the lockers...batteries. Yeah. Let's go with that. But Selbo ain't buying it and causes Linda to think fast and uses gift cards as the next possible ruse to get her out and look at that, she bought it. And that bought Linda time to get the combination book and find the empty locker and once she did, the scene cuts over to the second locker, opens it, and reveals...that the missing toy is in Louise's locker. This pretty much proved Frond's accusation that Louise did the dirty act to close out the third act and go into the fourth and final act of the episode.

And speaking of Louise, she makes her way to the bathroom where she spotted Linda at her second locker and finds out about the missing missile that Linda recovered. Being upset with her that Louise lied to her about having the item in her locker when earlier in the episode thought that the missile is nothing more than a slap in the face for Burobu fans but since she has the missile in her locker, Linda now need to find a way to dispose of the evidence in the event Louise were to get a punishment. Mostly a possible suspension. I mean, it’s a toy missile, not a firearm. She would be expelled if she did bring that but you know she won’t. She can mischievous but she wouldn’t go that far. The two try to dispose of the item with quick thinking for Linda to hide it behind her back when being caught by Selbo and Frond and would cause major problems for the two Belchers, especially Louise being the suspect-in-question for the missing item, now being upgraded to possible criminal...or so we thought it was Louise when Selbo all of a sudden decides to get rid of Frond by creating a ruse by thinking that his mother was calling him regarding her vitamins. Leading the three to the janitor's closet and here we have the actual suspect revealing herself for the crime.

And it’s Ms. Selbo who was the person responsible for the missing missile toy. Yeah, who here had Selbo being the suspect behind the crime? Some of y'all? I mean, Louise being framed and was innocent as she proclaimed throughout the episode was my possible guess when the episode's synopsis was out and the details often scream for themselves. So Selbo was the culprit behind the missing missile and reveals her reason behind the crime scene. Revealing that she once attended a birthday party that happened to be a Burobu-themed party, which I could imagine that being Louise’s tenth birthday sometime never. I mean, come on, you know the show will never age the characters. Selbo attended the party and one of the gifts that the birthday boy got was a Burobu toy missile and the results show that much like with bean bags, that shouldn't be made as a kids' toy when seeing that the missile hit some of the kids in the nads. Those things are not made for kids. Looking at you, Nerf. Even if you're attempting to make the items safe that won't get you sued. I mean, it's that or the scented candle as her gift to the boy? Seriously, a scented candle? What, is a pair of socks unavailable for you to give?

But a few days later at school while playing a round of solitaire is where Jason Jeffers brought the toy missile to school, causing Selbo to leave the office and tell him to not fire, in which he ignores her warning and was planning on firing it at recess. Of course, she accidentally breaks it and with some quick thinking, she had to hide it in an empty locker, which happened to be Louise's second locker. Trying to avoid getting into trouble but because it was in Louise's locker, the finger-pointing was going toward her. Selbo wasn't even going to do that and was planning on sending it to another location but has nowhere to put it. Would say put it in your car but someone might see it through the window. So she needs to create something to get out of trouble and that would require Linda and Louise's help, luckily for Louise, she fixed the toy that Selbo broke. And also playing the convincing game by telling Frond that there was no crime. There was never a crime and Louise did nothing wrong other than you being a hack and jumping to conclusions. So basically, convince Frond that the whole incident is bull and Louise should deserve an apology for the finger-pointing. Which will take place in the next scene after the conclusion of the subplot. Speaking of which...

Teddy checks out his design for the business card with some hammers over the front and the backside containing an ounce cup, a palm tree, and various items as if we're looking at a middle schooler's project from the 90s. But at least Teddy found his design for his updated business card and even though the shipment might take a while for it to be delivered. But it's more than enough for a random customer, preparing to leave, who notices the business card and already scored a handyman appointment. At least Teddy did his part of the episode and already wanted to help Bob in creating one for the restaurant. I mean...you might as well if you want to bring in some folks into the establishment. Either that or a social media account. Either one works.

Heading to Frond's office with everyone in attendance with Selbo convinced Frond that there was no incident regarding the missile and even brought the person who brought the item to school, Jason Jeffers, to the premise. Though no young kid should sound like that, especially someone that is nowhere near puberty and I get that each of the kids' actors are adults, but yeah, that kid's voice sounds a bit deep. So yeah, no crime. Especially with Selbo, Louise, and Linda playing innocent while thinking back to them opening Jason's locker and planting the item into his locker to avoid possible persecution for the three of them just before where we are in Frond's office. So it appears that everyone seems to be off the hook and Louise was this close to getting an apology from Frond for the finger-pointing earlier in the episode if it weren't for the final bell ringing to close out the school day. Seriously though, an apology would've been nice for Louise for something that she didn't even do. Fuck, you were planning on pitting blame on her in the event she's clear of charge. Again, a scummy thing to do. But what's done is done I guess with Louise being acquitted from the accusations that were made against her and thus, ending Linda's time as the parent volunteer for the school...except that she was too focused on trying to prove her daughter's innocence that she didn't finish putting papers into the envelopes. At least Selbo found the solution to that since Linda (and Louise) did help her clear her name from the incident regarding the missing toy and she does so...by having the whole family do the work to close out the episode. Besides, the job gotta require more than one pair of hands to do the work. So why not make it into a family-oriented event?

Reaction/Thoughts:

So all and all, what do I think about this week’s episode of Bob’s Burgers? Well, it's a mixed feeling when watching the episode. Had to give it a rewatch...maybe two, just to get a better understanding. I mean, both plots are not bad. They're now awful if you think about it. But I'm not saying that it's great either as if I'm gonna say, "It's an amazing episode. Ten out of ten." There are some moments that are okay but there are also some that are often downplayed as well.

The fact that Selbo got the spotlight was interesting and yeah, her butt has to be saved by a Belcher (primarily Louise and Linda) regarding the missing toy that became the plot device of the episode when it comes to the investigation with the missing missile toy that made Louise the suspect-in-question thanks in part to Frond's finger pointing. It's pretty much momma bird looking out for her young and in this case, Linda looking out for Louise, who says that she's innocent and drove that train from start to finish, and she was almost upset with her the more leads she collected was going against Louise, but besides that, it's an okay main plot. Linda didn't at least go a bit overboard and she was just looking out for what is best for her kids by not trying to get into trouble. Though again, Frond planning on blaming Louise for a crime she didn't commit in the event she's cleared of charge...yeah, scummy as fuck. I get that she has a track record of pulling stunts that can often time disrupt order, but come on, man!

At least the subplot didn't feel dull at times when it comes to Teddy finding the right design for his updated business card. Sure, we can be like Teddy at times when trying to find which item is the right fit for you. Decision-making is not easy and designing a card is one of those items. Though it can be dragged out at times. Mostly with Teddy being picky, which again, we can often relate to because we're human, and oftentimes, trying to find the right item is a difficult task. Especially when you're trying to attract the public with whatever you're bringing or wearing to the outside world. So, it's not a bad subplot, but oftentimes, it felt a bit dragged out. And sure, the designs for the card that Teddy picked seem like something coming out from the 90s or how a trapper keeper looks. I don't know. I never own a trapper keeper but we can be design heavy in trying to please people. Not our fault that we can be easily manipulated into things that caught our attention in a matter of seconds.

So final thoughts, broken record. Not that bad, but not that great. The rewatch factor is there. And sure, it's no "Thelma and Louise (Except Thelma is Linda)", but Linda looking out for Louise for something that she is wrongfully accused kind of felt like you're watching that. So I'll give "Stop! Or My Mom Will Sleuth"...

A 6 out of 10. But that's my opinion and now I wanna hear yours in the comments down below. Out goes February and entering March we go and Jesus fucking Christ, we're now two, three months left in the season before the summer hiatus. Can you believe that? The next episode for Bob's Burgers for March 5 and it's a Tina episode and it's her...being the lost puppy once more when trying to impress a pack of cool kids and as for Louise and Gene...well, it's them competing over stinky socks...well, they said that March roars in like a lion and uh...looking through the description, it's a very muted roar in the fourteenth episode of Season 13 in "These Boots Are Made for Stalking".
