Well Bob’s Burgers, when it comes to the Blog All The Time lineup on a day like Sunday since your season is returning later this month…you might be getting a new roommate come October. And possibly on the daytime slot as well. Or if you’re on break…let’s say…the World Series…possibly around nighttime. Depends on when, i.e. time, it’s gonna air. All I know is that…gotta start getting comfortable.

Yes people, it is revealed that the long awaited air date for the Eleventh Season in the show’s revival that was set in Fall 2018, we’re already in September, will air around the Seventh of October, or October 7th. Which is on a Sunday. A new day for airing Doctor Who rather than airing it on a Saturday like the previous series since the show’s revival in 2005. For yours truly, it would be a breath of fresh air knowing that I won’t have to worry on whole Doctor Who/Toonami conflict when it comes to the live blogging schedule over at Tumblr and Twitter. But Sundays is where things are about to get a little complicated. Mostly because guess who also is making a comeback for a new season around the Sunday lineup.
Yep, Bob’s Burgers. The show is returning on September 30th for it’s ninth season. And that’s where a little complication comes into play…when it comes to the nighttime hour. Because since Series 10 all the way through the recent Christmas episode in 2017, it’s full on streaming…on sites I’m not telling you cause said reasons. That mostly because I don’t have BBC America on my TV package. And say I switch packages, then timing would be the next big worry, other than the weather, because let’s say…hypothetically, airs around the 8:00pm Eastern/7:00pm Central time slot, because it does take an hour to air, if you count the commercial breaks, and Bob’s Burgers has a new airtime, an old one as well, around the 8:30pm Eastern/7:30pm Central time slot, then there are problems. And the only glimmer of light is that it either the show, Bob’s Burgers, is on break due to either the World Series or something else or do it around the 9:00pm Eastern/8:00pm Central time slot.
This isn’t the first time a series that is airing on a Saturday now airs on a Sunday made a transition. Attack on Titan recently made a transition from it’s Saturday airing to Sunday once Season 3 rolls in than what Season 1 in 2013 and Season 2 in 2017 has done. So it looks like it could be a three for all come October. I don’t know how long Season 3 will last? I think it’s either 12 or something like in the low-to-mid 20s…something like that…I don’t know. So according to The Guardian on the whole ordeal with the show now switching over to the Sunday lineup…
The BBC has announced that Jodie Whittaker’s debut in Doctor Who will be broadcast on 7 October – the first time the show has been moved to a Sunday evening in its 55-year history.The opening episode, The Woman Who Fell to Earth, has been written by the incoming showrunner, Chris Chibnall, who said: “New Doctor, new home! Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor is about to burst into Sunday nights – and make the end of the weekend so much more exciting.”The UK premiere will be broadcast simultaneously in the US on BBC America.Chibnall suggested parents should “get everybody’s homework done, sort out your Monday clothes, then grab some special Sunday night popcorn and settle down with all of the family for Sunday night adventures across space and time.”
So what the new head writer of the series is trying to say is that Doctor Who moving on a Sunday rather then Saturday is probably a good idea because the parents, let’s not forget that children also watch Doctor Who for a living, think that with the show now airing on a new night would be a good way to wind down the weekend before heading back to work or school on a Monday. This could be an interesting thing to watch over now that we’re on a Sunday night schedule that rivals shows that air on that particular spot like The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones or in this case, Sunday Night Football. And if that’s not enough from The Guardian, we also got an episode title revealed for the first episode of the new series called, “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”, which, of course, written by Chibnall. We got no plot synopsis out just yet. So I guess we have to play the waiting game on the whole thing. All we know is that this will follow up to the end of “Twice Upon a Time” after the newly regenerated Thirteenth Doctor, like the previous incarnations during the revived series, experiencing problems with the TARDIS and has to crash land on Earth like “The Christmas Invasion” with the Tenth Doctor, or “The Eleventh Hour” with the Eleventh, or “Deep Breath” with the Twelfth. But the Twelfth has a dinosaur brought along to Victorian London…that later combusted to death. That poor dino. But what we also know is that Chibnall, during around San Diego Comic-Con back in July, said that the upcoming series will NOT, repeat NOT, include any classic monsters and aliens like the Cybermen or the Daleks and with new monster, a new head writer, a new composer, a new Doctor, and new companions, this is really clean house for the 55 year-old series and decided to freshen up with new material in works.
