This has been a pretty long summer, no hyperbole. It has been a long one, despite people always saying that this year is moving faster than one would think. But it has been a pretty long ass summer to undergo before getting to the Fall. It’s mainly from having to do both Bob’s Burgers and The Great North, with the latter seriously doing our freaking jobs here to save the show from cancellation, that I’m pretty sure that it’s an 80%, probably 90% given now that it might be GGs. Prove me wrong, network. Prove me wrong.
It's somewhat amusing that this summer started with concerns about World War III and the state of our country being engulfed in an extensive crisis, marked by the raids taking place in Los Angeles and across the country. Now, just release the goddamn files, alright. Just release the files so we can call it a day. We know he’s in it. That explains why he’s trying to find ways to distract us like babies being attracted to keys being jingled, so we can stop talking about it. Especially when the current president is a literal EDP.
But aside from the fuckery that is current events, the one piece of news that we’re laser-focused on for this past weekend is, of course, San Diego Comic-Con. A lot of stuff happened this past weekend, with another convention season now behind us, and there’s a lot of stuff that happened in the entertainment world. But for yours truly, you all already know where this is going if you haven’t read the title and the type of person I am. But before that, might as well get the small snippets out of the way before getting to the bread and butter. And yes, disappointed that The Great North didn’t get a panel, and the only telltale signs of any hope would be the Hulu bags, which I wish I could get my hands on, and the artwork on the posters across the board promoting the AniMayhem section of the site.

First off, ahead of the season finale of Rick and Morty, or at the time of posting, the end of the current season, it was announced that another project has been greenlit by them. And it’s not the anime again. No, it’s a spin-off series. A spin-off series that focuses on the President of the United States. And no, it’s not the franchise caving to the current regime.
It’s the fictional president in the series. President Curtis, voiced by Keith David, was greenlit from the panel and is expected to air on Adult Swim. Focusing on the President himself and uh... yeah, there’s that. I know that people have some thoughts, hopefully not a race thing, but more of what the spin-off is about. It has potential. It has potential. Plus, it has Keith David leading the charge, so uh... yeah, it has some potential, but it’s a wait-and-see once we know about the whole thing and when it comes out.
First look at the new ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ sequel series ‘AVATAR: SEVEN HAVENS’
— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) July 24, 2025
• Will consist of 26 half-hour episodes over 2 seasons
• Follows Earthbending twins after a world-shattering disaster where one discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra pic.twitter.com/9UQpUv6RL7
The other piece of news would be the new Avatar series, Seven Havens, from the Con, and to keep it simple. Of course, each episode is about half an hour, so about 21-22 minutes at best, and it’s 26 episodes over two seasons. Probably 11 episodes for one season and another 11 for another to round up the total number. It is set for 2027 as the targeted date to premiere. And if y’all know, y’all know, this is the third installment of the franchise and a sequel series to The Legend of Korra, since the new Avatar, an Earthbender, finds out that she’s the new Avatar after Korra. Only to find out that the title of Avatar has gone a complete 180 from the savior of the world to humanity’s destroyer. Pretty much questioning what the fuck Korra did that has people’s opinions changed going into the next generation? But other than that, I know it’s a two-year wait, but it should be interesting to see what the next series has in store for us come 2027. Just need to survive the rest of 2025 and 2026 as a whole before getting to that. But now, let’s get to the nitty-gritty of things, Bob’s Burgers.

From "The Lost City of Atlantic" (Season 15, Episode 15) | Air Date: June 19, 2025 |
And the big talk from this year’s panel is the show’s 300th episode. A lot of hype is being built as we prepare to reach another milestone. It’s slated for September 28 as the Season 16 premiere... which is Episode 299 and NOT Episode 300, which would take place on October 5. Which is odd if you think about it as if the 300th episode is going to be some sort of two-parter. And uh, there’s some confusion with that, myself included, when having to dig through each tweet and articles that covered the panel. So, suppose there’s a decent answer to how Episode 300 is going to be treated.
In that case, it might as well be the way of how if y’all remember Season 6 when “Glued, Where’s My Bob” was the 100th episode and that got served as that season’s finale. Still, it ended up as the 100th episode produced and the 107th episode labeled as a result when it came out on May 19, 2016, as part of a double header. Making “Stand By Gene”, which is the episode that aired a month before on April 3, 2016, as the 100th episode when it comes to the episode count. That too was a double header when it was paired with “House of 1000 Bounces”. So, that would be the logical option for why the 300th episode should be considered the season premiere. And I’m not saying that the 300th episode should be on October 5 and not September 28 because of football revenue, because Week 5 of the upcoming NFL season has a 4:25 game on FOX and not Week 4. Just putting it out there.

From "To Catch a Beef" (Season 14, Episode 16) | Air Date: September 22, 2024 |
But yeah, 300th episode is the name of the game from the panel, and a lot of hype is being built up from the information we got for the milestone episode, in what we should expect from the episode. We know that it’s going to focus on the day the restaurant first opens, meaning that it’s going to be a flashback episode. And it looks like we may have figured out what the trigger is going to be and the kind of day it was when the restaurant first opened its door to the public. Turns out... inflation. Yep. Inflation. Or rather, Bob, whether or not he wants to inflate the prices from the price he placed since the very beginning. Probably referring to the Burger of the Day, which always has a price of $5.95 since the very beginning, but since times are tough, and knowing that the Belchers always struggle to make ends meet, they are usually unable to pay the rent on time. And the only way to do that is to... well... commit a price hike. So, when looking at it when going through the tweets, the articles, and the full panel over on YouTube, until the episode drops on September 28, I guess it boils down to the principle.

From "The Bob's Burgers Movie" | Release Date: May 27, 2022 |
And I can understand why because that’s the price he stuck with since the humble beginnings, and him planning on raising it because of inflation or continuing to struggle to make ends meet, and the only way to do just that is something that he would be against by raising the price. All we know that Bob would feel nauseous from this, according to various articles and from the man himself, from the recent panel, which would trigger the flashback to how it all began. All while, yes, Linda is on the verge of giving birth to Tina. Because if you remember from the movie, we had a brief flashback where we have Bob and Linda looking at the empty building that will soon become the restaurant, and you have Linda rubbing her stomach, revealing that she would be pregnant with Tina at the time. Meaning that the moment or around the time the burger restaurant is in operation is when Linda would be going into labor, or is about to get into labor, which would pave the way for Tina to be born. Just hoping that the flashback in “Human Flesh” about Bob not being there to see his kid’s birth while trying to remember their anniversary isn’t Tina’s, who he missed. So, wouldn’t that mean that Tina’s birthday would be around the day or two or more after the doors are first opened to the public? I’m just putting it out there.

Other than that, normally, we would have a full guest cast from years past with the panels for the upcoming season. For some reason, with this year’s panel, we didn’t get a full list except for one name who is expected to lend his voice for the upcoming Halloween episode. We know that Gayle is in the upcoming season because there was a clip that shows the upcoming episode where she gives Bob “pinch therapy” for his sinuses. And there’s also another episode featuring Gayle, where she hires Teddy to officiate her “wedding” just for an art piece that she is targeting. So, we would have Megan Mullally as the first guest that wasn’t brought up during the guest list naming, but with the recent season of The Great North, post-Prince of Hides Adventure, where two of her characters on the show wasn’t voiced by her and instead, Anne Yatco took over as a fill-in, some people would think that it would trigger a domino effect going into the upcoming season of Bob’s Burgers.
But aside from whether we get Mullally back or not to voice Gayle in the upcoming season, which I know she will. I highly doubt someone else will take over the role just because of what happened with the recent season of The Great North. Other than that, not a lot to list out the names according to Loren Bouchard, other than one that was floated for the upcoming Halloween episode, and that is actor Jamie Demetriou from the show Fleabag, but most notably from the show The Afterparty. So, we’ll be seeing his character there. So, that pretty much confirms that we have a Halloween episode this upcoming season, and the same goes for the Christmas episode.

And hot off the presses, right as I was about to finish writing this and preparing to post it, it was announced that, yes, Season 16 of Bob’s Burgers does begin on September 28, but we got the official time slot for that night at 9:30 PM Eastern. Along with a few more details about the upcoming season, not just the 300th episode, but also other episodes as well, according to FoxFlash, with its press release. Because we also have the kids for the upcoming season, have them embarking on a new musical journey, don’t know if it’s going to be like what we saw in the “My Butt Has a Fever” short or the performance at the end of “Hope n’ Mic Night” or maybe in the way of “Itty Bitty Ditty Committee” or what we saw at the end of the movie with their performance. Whether it’s just the siblings or maybe their friends. Who knows. Aside from that, and the episode where Gayle hosts a fake wedding, you also have an upcoming episode where Louise and Gene have to clear Tina’s name after she was fired from her hall monitor duties. But other than that, I think that should do it for this little recap from this year’s Comic-Con, as we got a long season ahead for Bob’s Burgers starting this Fall, despite that the 2025-26 season will kick off four years of each season having 15 episodes instead of the usual 22 episodes. Four episodes left this season, with the double header slated for Thursday.
Also, I see the press release, no Great North mention for the Fall or Spring lineup, so the chances have now risen to about 90%, possibly >95% chance of being GGs. I’m not going to repeat myself, support the fucking show. What the fuck are we doing?! But yeah, that should be the recap piece on what we know about Season 16, and unless we get more from... let’s say, D23, then we should be good to go until late September.
