The Great North Season 4, Episode 4 Review: Vote 2024: The Bee of the North, Ruler of the Lone of Moose (For a Day) | yahoo201027's Great North Reviews

Only one more week to go until Bob's Burgers makes its return and I'm back doing two reviews in one week come next week where I might as well be wishing for a vacation. Other than that, the full episode breakdown would go back to Bob’s Burgers come next week with the airing of “Jade in the Shade”, meaning that this, until...I guess the summer, would be the last time for The Great North reviews to go through this format...even though there’s a chance that I would do that for next week’s episode because I don’t know what I’m doing and I am getting a hang of this show knowing how this season is doing. And so far, the season is doing well.

In this week’s episode of The Great North, Honeybee wins the title of the Mayor of Lone Moose...for a day despite that Wolf wanted the job to be the head honcho, even if it’s for the day and the rest of the Tobin family decided to use Honeybee’s newfound powers to do whatever they want in my spoilerific review of the fourth episode of Season 4 of The Great North, titled “Ready Mayor Won Adventure”.

Quite fitting that we’re in a presidential election year this year with whether or not democracy can go right the fuck off in the event 2024 goes in the way 2020 should have done in the race to become a horrible year, more of becoming like 2016 in a way, The Great North in this week’s episode decides to do something like that, but in the way of have some people drop their hats into the ring and have the whole focus on the race to be Lone Moose's mayor as if you're expecting Peppers to purchase a one-way ticket to Cancun. It's not like that. And besides, the last time we had an election in a small town, let's just say...don't rely on neckties that can perform mind control someone to make sure he doesn't make him open-minded. This episode is more of someone taking the job for a day and seeing how a random individual, primarily someone in the main cast, handles how to take care of a society. And in this episode, it's Honeybee who will be taking the job of interim mayor while Mayor Peppers undergoes surgery.

When going through the episode and how this would play out, I'd probably think of "The Fresh Princ-ipal" with Louise when she won the title of "principal of the day" and think that she would do whatever she wanted, even if it's only for a day, that and also wanting to take a peek at the confiscation cabinet, only to find out that her powers are limited and decides to bend it and give the people what they want that would benefit them. You know, becoming the people’s principal. And that is what we see in this episode with Honeybee when she wins the job over Wolf when you're about to find out in this review if you haven't watched the episode, which I'd advise y'all do to before going ahead with this article as if I'm treating it as a YouTube video, that's what we're going to witness with Honeybee taking in charge of the entire city, even if it's for a day. And let's just say...things get a little wild for the town once the rules decide to bend. And that’s where we get to break it down in this episode...oh yeah, and there’s also a subplot to the episode tying in with the main plot with the rest of the Tobins having to go on a freebie spree all because of Honeybee’s new claim to fame. Time to evaluate the episode and at least try to break it down like I’m a political analyst on the big board on Election Night, this is “Ready Mayor Won Adventure”.

The episode starts with an election update from the newscaster Diondra Tundra reporting outside of the mayor's office as everyone across Lone Moose awaits who will fill in for Mayor Peppers for the next 24 hours. Apparently, the reason why some random citizen had to be on the ballot or as a write-in vote is because of the condition of the town's current mayor. No, he's not sick as if he got cancer or just suffered a stroke. And no, it's not because of a family emergency. But it is a personal medical situation, again, he's not sick, just had to get something out of his system. So yeah, Peppers has to undergo a vasectomy, rather, a reverse vasectomy. Yes, you read that right, a reverse vasectomy. Peppers couldn't recreate because the passageway was cut in half and now, he has to go to the hospital so he can have the ability to reproduce once more. I think we all know how vasectomies work, especially since the most stupidest decision that the Supreme Court made by overturning Roe v. Wade almost two years ago where the demand is on the rise. All this because the people of the right fell for that whole replacement theory bullshit.

The family along with Jerry, I see Dirt is exempt in the episode, but she'll appear in next week's, watch the news to see the results on who will be the interim mayor for the day with everyone rocking the blue t-shirt that reads "Wolf for Mayor". Hoping that Wolf would get the job of being the mayor, even if it was for a day and not an entire term. Regardless, Wolf feels optimistic that he's going to get the job of interim mayor since his only opposition is Councilman Roy Fletcher and his partner-in-crime Council-eagle Toby for the seat while Peppers is planning to undergo surgery. But besides that Wolf only has Roy as his only opposition, the town has yet to count the write-in votes and not falsely declare victory and have ourselves a 2020 situation. And, of course, you have that little fantasy of what a Wolf Tobin Administration would look like, and to him, it's like growing up, and one day, you're in your class and the teacher is giving you an assignment in the form of an essay and tells you what do you want to be growing up and you decided to pick the President of the United States as the job you want. A long shot job, sure. And you'd think you would go for something small like mayor or councilperson, but yeah, sure. Hopefully, one day to be the big dog despite the four to eight years of stress of keeping the country and the entire world together.

This isn't the first time that Lone Moose has had this type of situation where an interim mayor has to be picked by the townsfolk in the event something happens to Mayor Peppers. It had happened before with Beef telling everyone, mostly Jerry and I guess Honeybee since they're the newest residents of Lone Moose, the history of a random Lone Mooser being chosen to do the job of the interim mayor. By bringing up the last person who took the job, a person named Mrs. Laramie, who got the gig because she passed out full-sized candy bars on Halloween...even though she’s been dead for half a decade. Yeah, don’t want to imagine the thought of bringing in a corpse or the spirit of a dead person giving the job. But besides the story of the last time the town had an interim mayor, the results are in. And when all the votes are counted, now that the write-in votes have been calculated, we can now project the following projection...

It's Honeybee through a write-in vote. Ooh boy, that was a heart stomper for Wolf when finding out that he didn’t get the job and instead, the entire town wrote Honeybee’s name on the ballot and wanted to ride with her than her husband. Which begs the question of why the entire town chose Honeybee over Wolf to get the gig. Wolf was the favorite going into Election Night, but he only got the votes from the officials and some townsfolk, mostly the family. Okay, Beef and Honeybee for sure, and some people have lent their support for Wolf at the polling booth, but no, the townsfolk, through a write-in campaign, said to themselves, "Although Wolf would be the perfect candidate for the job for the day, we like his wife better." And knowing that Alaska has implemented ranked-choice voting, Honeybee would still get the job over Wolf with him getting second place. She's been in the town for less than a year, so from the townsfolk in their point of view, they chose Honeybee and now, they want to know what she has in store, even if it's for a day. But wouldn’t rule out the possibility of the event Honeybee would one day get a full term in the event Peppers does end up deciding to ride off into the sunset. But for now, the people have spoken and it’s Honeybee who will be subbing in for Peppers once the new day arrives.

But man, Wolf was devastated when hearing that the results didn't go his way as seen with him outside taking a bottle of champagne for himself and feeling crushed that he didn't get the job as the interim mayor and also finding out that Honeybee got the job instead over him. But rather than...I dunno, take the route of a certain former president and say that he'll contest the results and say it's stolen from him, and we know that won't be happening in this show or the universe, Wolf decides to at least show his support to his wife and congratulate her for her new job for the next 24 hours, in which he did once coming back inside after a short moment of solitude of sadness. And for Honeybee, it looks like she’s ready to take on the leadership position. Something that she one day wished she would have the responsibility, something that her dad would never let her have at the curtain store back when she was in Fresno. And now, it looks like it’s her time to shine, just replace a small store filled with curtains with a small town with a population of over a hundred people.

And so begins day one of the Honeybee Shaw administration once Honeybee gets sworn in at Peppers' hospital room as he is prepared to undergo surgery to undo his vasectomy, with Honeybee thinks that she would have a full celebration as if thought that the swearing-in of a new mayor, even if it's for a day, would be treated as a presidential inauguration. Yeah, it’s nothing like that. You’ll only get sworn in, set up shop at the office, and begin to do the work as the interim mayor. Which is what Honeybee is doing once we get to the next scene with Honeybee putting up her name, on duct tape, on the door window, and thus, begins hour one of the Honeybee Shaw Administration. Ready to go to work...

Or at least, not by her lonesome because you have Wolf setting up shop himself by placing a chair next to the mayor's chair where Honeybee is currently sitting. Not to mention putting down the duffel bag and also, you have him wearing a suit and tie once he sets up shop next to Honeybee. Yeah, when seeing that scene to close the first act of the episode and going into the second, it makes you question whether or not Wolf has gotten over his electoral loss to Honeybee through a write-in vote because he wanted the job and thought that things would go his way. Because of the way he set up shop by sitting next to Honeybee and the fact he wore a suit and has a bag over him, it does almost feels like he's handling the loss pretty well. And I'm not saying that Wolf is somewhat of a sore loser. It's not like that. It's not like that with Wolf not handling the loss of him not getting the job. That sounds like an L take. A super L take on that one when it comes to seeing Wolf's behavior at the end of the first act of the episode.

We get to the second act of the episode with the married couple at the mayor’s office where we get to two of the councilwomen coming into the office with them giving Honeybee the rundown for the day while Peppers is on the bench for the rest of the episode for his surgery. And going back to the comparison with "The Fresh Princ-ipal" at the introduction of this review with Louise when being the head honcho for the day and with Honeybee becoming the mayor of the day, funny enough that this episode came out on the fifth anniversary of "The Fresh Princ-ipal", you get to find out that Honeybee's powers as the interim mayor for the day are limited because she was given the rundown of her doing some office stuff like printing stuff, using the gavel, and using the private bathroom. Sort of like Louise when she found out that on her first hour of being principal of the day that her powers were limited and she was tasked to supervise the raising of the flag, watering the plants, and clock in for attendance. Putting two and two together that her powers are limited and can’t do anything that the principal, or at least in this episode, the mayor, usually does. In short, it’s nothing more than a ceremonial role. A participation trophy in the world of politics. And much like Louise in "The Fresh Princ-ipal", Honeybee thinks that her powers are limited, but she thinks that it's time to bend it.

And she spotted her opportunity to bend the rules once Vera, now voiced by Laramie Newman, filled in the role that was once held by Mullally in the show's past three seasons, though, relax everyone, Mullally isn't going anywhere. She's still going to voice the likes of Alyson and Mrs. Tuntley, which we'll see later, aside from that, Vera makes an appearance, and right on time for Honeybee to decide to make herself unlimited when it comes to the powers of being the interim mayor as if she's the mayor full time when Vera, acting like the town's Karen, which she does because the office had to deal with her complaints nearly every day to the point where they had to remove the bell on the wall so they don't have to deal with her abusing the bell just to hear her complaints on the daily, ready to file her complaint for the day. The mayor's office has this little idea where they just let her yell "ding, ding" one too many times until she gets tired and falls asleep enough for the two councilwomen to put in her car. And thought it would be the case now that Peppers is out for the day, but that's not going to stop Honeybee from doing what she wants to do best when getting the job, giving the people what they want.

Vera filed a complaint about the fencing issue and without even bothering to read the file and give her thoughts on whether or not it's a good idea to approve, Honeybee decided to add her signature to approve having her fence on her property to be five feet back. Again, without even bothering to read the complaint and without giving it some thought, she ends up adding her name, and thus, Vera gets what she wants by expanding her property by having the fence to be five feet back for a bigger yard. And this is where Wolf had to step in before Honeybee attempted to place the tip of her pen onto the paper because...let's just say that Vera's little request of expanding her property might hold some serious consequences going forward based on the direction it's heading regarding the geography. But Honeybee decides to ignore the potential geography lesson and signs her name to approve the complaint by Vera. But why stop there on what is pretty much Honeybee’s deregulation spree on her full day of being the interim mayor?

We got another person entering the office after Vera got her complaint approved and it's one of the two councilwomen who visited the office earlier came up to Honeybee and wants to file a complaint for herself. Yeah, you'd think that she would check up on Honeybee on what she did regarding Vera and her issue that got recently approved by her, but no, she comes in and tells Honeybee what she wants that Vera got when it comes to her complaint being approved. So the councilwoman's complaint to Honeybee is regarding the town's curfew. And we're not talking about like your normal curfew where you ask your teenage kid to come back home at a specific time as long as it's not around the midnight hour. No, it's more on the line of a noise curfew. And the law isn't new that was put into place. Apparently, the noise curfew, the noise ordinance that was placed for Lone Moose to shut everything down at around 8:00 at night was placed since the 1800s. Yep, the 1800s, but they didn't say which specific year in the 19th century, but it's presumably after the US purchased Alaska from Russia, and the settlers set up shop once the purchase was made. And the noise curfew, according to one of the councilwomen when talking to Honeybee, is one the reasons why the councilwoman can't hold a karaoke night just because of the goddamn ordinance. To the point where she questions if this is even America or thought they're living in Soviet Russia. Of course, despite Wolf's warning to Honeybee to reconsider the offer, Honeybee ends up lifting the curfew. And if you think that after two complaints Honeybee had to listen and give Vera and one of the councilwomen what they want should be the end of that? Brother...we're just getting started.

Because the whole town of Lone Moose wants a piece of that shit and have their issues being filed in which you question whether or not some of the issues are even real issues at all. We have to go through an entire montage of the people of Lone Moose filing complaint after complaint and looking at the line outside of Honeybee's office, it's like something you see from a Black Friday sales event the morning after Thanksgiving to have everything go their way in what is pretty much a busy day for Honeybee to deregulate everything from top to bottom in a record amount of time. All without reading the fine print. And if you listen to the background, that is the sound of a right-winger having an orgasm of seeing everything being deregulated despite not knowing the consequences that come with it. Everything is being deregulated by the power of the pen courtesy of Honeybee, now being deemed as the "people's mayor". And the people's mayor Honeybee is because with everything restrictive now thrown into the garbage, her popularity has started to rise and she's going to benefit from the townsfolk. But it's not just Honeybee who is enjoying the surge of popularity from the townsfolk, even if it's for a day, with her as the interim mayor.

The rest of the Tobin family are also benefiting from Honeybee’s newfound claim to fame as the interim mayor. Get a lot of free stuff without having the hassle of paying all because they know Honeybee. Though one begs the question, if the rest of the Tobin family benefit from Honeybee's popularity because they know her because she's married to Wolf, I wonder if the same applies to Jerry? I mean, Honeybee is his sister after all, so you'd think that he too would've benefited from what Honeybee is doing by deregulating everything that made the people love her. Whether it's getting pies from Maude or being offered free stuff from the clothing store that is operated by Mr. Tuntley, to even later in the episode with them getting their hair and nails done, the rest of the Tobin family are enjoying their time, even if it’s for a day, getting free stuff is what the Tobins are getting as long as Honeybee continues to give what the townsfolk want.

And she continues to do so once we get to the next scene with her and Wolf having a lunch break after deregulating everything to make the townsfolk feel happy, and much to Wolf's dismay, Honeybee seems to have no issue with what she is doing and despite not knowing the consequences that are about to come later in the episode, she's pretty much the queen bee, no pun intended, that everyone wants to follow. And again, in the event Peppers does decide to hang it up and there's an election to fill in an open seat, Honeybee would be the head-on favorite to fill the role of a full term. Wolf on the other hand in this episode, is where you're starting to make some comparisons between the kind of mayor the two people would be, which we get that later in the episode, but the moment Vera got her complaint approved to move the fence to at least five feet, again, it makes you question how Wolf didn't get the job despite knowing the lingo of the town and its laws to keep things in order. But at least as time progresses and despite some quiet criticisms of what Honeybee is doing to deregulate everything in an attempt to make everyone's lives better, he has shown his support for his wife and knows that she did a good job as mayor, especially with her term ready to wind down and hand her position back to Peppers once he's discharged from the hospital. Oh yeah, and the rest of the Tobin family continue to enjoy their freebie spree with them now getting their hair and nails done. Gotta put it out there.

We get to the end of the first act of the episode with Honeybee ready to close the office for the day and ready to waste the night away for her term to come to an end. Ready to head out once leaving a note for Peppers that she did the job and is ready to become...well, a public citizen once more as awaits for midnight to hit for her term to come to a close as she’s prepared to leave the office and head home to enjoy a celebratory romantic end of term dinner by eating pizza pockets, yeah, that’s not an ideal food to make or heat up, but regardless, Honeybee is about to head off to celebrate the end of her term, though not without one issue from one of the councilwomen, not the one who wanted Honeybee to lift the noise curfew, the other one, not great with names, to ask Honeybee to take Wolf’s leftovers from the fridge, which she is planning to give it to Honeybee to give it to Wolf or at least throw it away in the trash. Just as we are about to close the first half of the episode...

Everyone in the office gets a visit from someone who dressed up as Peter Pan for no reason and delivers a message to not just to Honeybee but to the entire town of Lone Moose something that they don't want to hear and this is where what might be the weirdest shit you’d get from the show other than...well, some things and there’s another one coming up later in the episode. So, the weird shit for this episode, the first of the two, with the random appearance from someone who dressed up as Peter Pan who took a wrong turn on his way to a convention, delivering a message through a scroll as if we're in the medieval times that the neighboring town, called Whippleton, telling the people of Lone Moose...how should put this lightly...oh right, Whippleton decided to declare war on Lone Moose. Yep, you read or heard that right. A neighboring town in the United States declared war on another town in the same state and the same country. They didn't specify what kind of war but as Honeybee describes it, fighting and cargo pants. We're talking about dressing up in military drip as if we’re treating it as if we’re reenacting a Civil War battle. You know, forming some sort of militia to partake in this so-called “war” that Whippleton had just declared. And the cause for the declaration...

Once Honeybee storms back into the cabin just as Wolf is waiting for her return to celebrate her term coming to an end for a job well done that has now met with disastrous results...remember what happened in hour one of Honeybee's term with Vera coming into the office and issues a complaint about fencing and she wanted to have her property to be expanded to at least five feet, not knowing that it would be by the undrawn border with Whippleton? Yeah...so uh...Vera's request to move her fence and Honeybee's recklessness, more on the latter than having to pit blame on both options, might have violated a treaty that both towns signed and any violation, like what we just saw from Honeybee being reckless by signing Vera's complaint without reading it or giving it second thoughts, was the trigger for a potential all-out war. Well uh...more of a siege/invasion than a war. Honeybee knew she fucked up and attempts to prevent a war between Lone Moose and Whippleton by coming up with a peace offering and thinks it's all a big misunderstanding and hopefully laugh it off. Something that Wolf tried to warn Honeybee at the start of her term. And...yeah, looking back to it, yeah, the war declaration caused by a violation of a treaty because someone's property is too small was all on Honeybee because she just jumped to conclusions and signed right away rather than hearing what Wolf had to say, just because she's the mayor.

Wolf and Honeybee have an argument over Honeybee not knowing the consequences that she may have caused from her actions of deregulating everything and Vera’s request of wanting to have her fence being moved to five feet by the border with Whippleton that may have triggered a war, causing Honeybee to grab the peppermint barks as a peace offering and a pillow for some reason and storm out in an attempt to prevent a war from breaking out. You know what this reminds me of? The Pig War of 1859 where the United States and Canada, rather, Britain because Canada used to be a British Territory, there was a territorial dispute over an island between Washington and British Columbia that was sitting in the middle of the territorial line when the lines were drawn as the United States expand westward to the Pacific coastline. The killing of a pig almost triggered what would've been Round 3 between the US and Britain, especially right as the US was dealing with its own problems regarding the topic of slavery and a looming civil war at that time. Go watch Oversimplified on YouTube on the historical reference I had to bring up.

We check up on the rest of the Tobins for a bit and despite not knowing the oopies that Honeybee caused because of her recklessness that might put everyone in harm’s way from the townsfolk of Whippleton where you have Beef, Ham, Judy, and Moon all dolled up with Beef getting some eyelashes but Judy went to the extreme with her eyelashes like something coming out from a reality show about beauty pageant contestants while Moon is wearing a blonde wig because it is over the hood of his bear suit...I think. Also, they have their skin spray painted, gotta add that to the conversation. Judy tries to message Honeybee so she can take some pictures for everyone since everyone in town loves her for the rules being softened or thrown out but no response from her because she’s busy trying to prevent a war from breaking out because of her recklessness. So, the Tobins prepare to head out to find Honeybee and speaking of her...

Switching over to the border dispute that the national media haven't even dared to talk about on the news at the crime scene that broke the treaty with the fence being built where Vera is, along with the officials from Whippleton dressed up in different uniforms that you can't tell if they're actually preparing for an actual war that includes ammunition and plans on bathing in the blood of their enemies or the so-called “war” is pretty much one big LARP event you seen at the park while taking a walk on the hiking trail. Honeybee attempts to bribe the Whippleton officials with her box of peppermint snaps so they can forgive and forget about what happened and let bygones be bygones...yeah, that’s not the case. Because even if they do accept the peppermint barks, Lone Moose, courtesy of Vera, which is courtesy of Honeybee not reading the fine print and not getting a history lesson, the treaty has been broken and there’s going to be a lot of negotiations to patch things up. Negotiations that Mayor Peppers will have to talk things through to clean up Honeybee’s mess.

Oh, and the whole thing with Vera wanting to move the fence to five feet where it could create massive conflict? She knew. She fucking knew that her wanting the fence to be five feet where the proposed town border line would break the treaty and thus, have the town of Whippleton declare war on Lone Moose. Why? Because fuck you, that's why. I mean, it almost feels like she was setting Honeybee up to fail just for shits and giggles, and now, her knowing that it would cause a massive conflict waiting to happen is going to put the population and their property at risk. And if that's not enough, once Chief Edna enters the picture and tells Honeybee to go to the town square...this is where problemo numbero dos get shown.

The entire town gets thrown into total anarchy. Thanks to Honeybee's recklessness in lifting the rules and deregulating everything, let this be a reminder that actions like this are going to carry some consequences. Whether it's the loud noise from the townsfolk thanks in part to the noise curfew being lifted, or people getting booze, though just be thankful that it is in an orderly fashion and not in the usual thinking of things getting rowdy and barfights having to be shown...hell, you have the one scene with Mrs. Tuntley going commando, riding on a moose. Things have really gone out of control that one person can't fix all of this. Especially since all the things Honeybee did by lifting the rules, going for a rules-free direction, and deregulating things, you know...freedom, that made her popular with the townsfolk the same way you would raise a child and you decided to be the fun parent and give your child what they want and it resulted in a legal situation and putting you in hot water. Oh, and if that’s not bad enough for Honeybee, going back to the situation regarding the treaty being broken and Whippleton declaring war on Lone Moose...

You have the town of Ted’s Folly entering the picture, dressed up as a marching band because nothing is sane anymore to the point where might be thinking of calling Alaska the “Florida of the North”, which I’m going to get killed if I were to go to Alaska and what I said in this review comes back to bite me, they too are declaring on Lone Moose and it’s not because of that town’s hatred towards Lone Moose, which it sort of does, but it’s because Ted’s Folly and Whippleton, when we got an explanation later going into the fourth act, are friends and according to the treaty, if Whippleton declares war on Lone Moose as they did earlier in the episode, Ted's Folly has to follow suit. It's like the saying goes, you messed with one person, or town because of a border dispute that led to the treaty being broken, you messed with the rest, or this rate, another town as if we're following gang rules like in World War II after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and the US decided to declare war on them, only for Japan to declare war back, that also led to Germany declaring war on the US because they were allies during the war. Oh yeah, and there's also the rest of the Tobin family wanting Honeybee to get her nails done.

We enter the fourth and final act of the episode with Honeybee, going back to the guest cabin, realizing that she fucked up. She fucked up big that caused things to spiral out of control with the town down by the square and now, she can't broker for peace between Lone Moose and Whippleton over a border dispute that could put everything in harm's way. It pretty much boils down to Honeybee being too nice to the people and deregulating everything to make the townsfolk happy that she pretty much let her ego and popularity run through her head that she didn't even notice that the actions that she did turned the town into anarchy. Not to mention, putting everyone in harm's way with both Whippleton and Ted's Folly ready to participate in the William Sherman Challenge. Thought that being the big boss for the day would be fun, but turned out that it's not as easy as it looks. Even if it's for a single day. Wolf comforts Honeybee and tells her that he was jealous that she got the job and he didn’t, as if his actions earlier in the episode with him setting up shop at the office, photobombing Honeybee's government photo, and leaving a sandwich in the office fridge wasn't shown that he was a bit jealous of him not getting the job, the two did console with each other and knowing that we're nearing the two-minute warning of the episode, now is the time before Honeybee's term comes to an official close once the clock hits midnight and clean up the mess before Peppers gets discharged from the hospital and return to his duties.

We're at the two-minute warning and with the hours winding down before midnight hits, Honeybee, when addressing the public, decides to do one final act as interim mayor and whether the townsfolk like it or not, she passes the sash and mayoral powers to Wolf to serve the remainder of Honeybee's term. And yeah, this pretty much answers the question of why the townsfolk chose Honeybee over Wolf because she's popular, she's new to the town even though she's been living in Lone Moose for likely a year, and as if they enjoy having the time of Honeybee being the people's mayor, everyone needs to suck it up and let Wolf use his powers as the mayor to clean up Honeybee's mess. That is to reverse everything she did and re-regulate things and also patch things up regarding the border dispute.

Also, are we not going to pretend that the yeti is taking a peek at Mrs. Tunley from the tree? I know that it's the show doing an Easter egg by playing a round of Where's Waldo but the way you look at this scene...God, I hope that yeti is lawyered up because this feels weird when it comes to the context of this scene.

So, once everything that Honeybee did gets reversed by Wolf, including the fencing issue from Vera, and have the three towns are settled and thus, prevented a war, the term for Honeybee and Wolf as interim co-mayors has finally come to a close with them putting away the stash and about to head out for the night, mostly to consume a couple of snacks for going to sleep after a very long day as mayor for the day, you'd think that we'd be done with this episode, right? Nope. The councilwoman's complaint of Wolf leaving his leftover sandwich comes back right as the clock is about to hit zero and...

Okay...God, this is so dumb. This is so dumb. The councilwoman throws Wolf's sandwich towards Wolf as if it's an assassination attempt and in comes Honeybee taking the hit to protect Wolf from getting the stains and treating it as if she was dying...yeah, it's them being dramatic and stuff, especially with Honeybee thinking that she got packed from a sandwich stain, treating it as if she got hit by a bullet, but to have "I Always Love You" by Whitney Houston play in the background...god, they're idiots. They're fucking idiots and not in a mean way. Calm down, guys. Calm down. But, god, this scene was so stupid. But you can’t hate them for that. Because they’re our idiots and we have to live with that.

Reaction/Thoughts:

So all and all, what do I think about this week’s episode of The Great North? Well, it's a good episode. A good episode but not as great as last week's episode or the week before. Not saying that it's the weakest of the bunch because we're only four episodes into the current season and we have a long way to go. But it was a good episode but not around the same levels as last week's episode with the introduction of Dirt or Beef getting back into the saddle and wanting to go to do a one-night stand. At least I know that the season so far, despite being four episodes in, has been going well and giving me some vibes to the earlier seasons of Bob's Burgers back when it was at its peak and when it was unhinged and stuff, but you want to stick around and want more.

It's mostly coming from the results of what Honeybee did by deregulating everything to make everyone's lives better without noticing the consequences that came with it, which we saw that later in the episode right as the third act was coming to a close. The whole story for the episode with Honeybee taking over the mayor's seat for a day reminds me of "The Fresh Princ-ipal" with Louise becoming the one in charge of a society. But the difference between Louise and Honeybee when it comes to being in charge for the day is that Wagstaff under Louise, actually benefits the students and, of course, helps Frond save his job after finding out that he was getting replaced by the principal’s brother-in-law who has no experience in how to be a guidance counselor. Whereas Honeybee, benefits the townsfolk and it drove into chaos. But it was a good episode, but not as good as last week’s episode or the week before.

Other than that, aside from that small side plot with the rest of the Tobin family benefiting from Honeybee’s popularity and getting free things from eating a box of pies to having their hair and nails done, I might as well say it again, it was a good episode but it’s not as good as last week or the week before. Yeah, I said that the side story somewhat downplayed the episode but it was a good episode regardless. So I’ll give “Ready Mayor Won Adventure”...

A 6.5 out of 10. But that’s my opinion and I wanna hear yours about this week’s episode in the comments down below. The Bob’s Burgers reviews return next weekend, that being this upcoming weekend with Linda and Louise visiting the Wharf and knowing the images for the upcoming episode that was released a few weeks ago, the fans were foaming from their mouths regarding certain locations across the Wharf, in the twelfth episode of Season 14, "Jade in the Shade". As for The Great North, it's a Cheesecake episode even though it's Wolf and Honeybee once more taking the limelight where they have to house Cheesecake after getting evicted from his trailer, and also, you have Beef lending a hand to help one of the members of the mom group, Carrisa, Debbie's mom, garner business in the fifth episode of Season 4, "Cheese All That Adventure".
