2015 Hurricane Season - Names and Predictions are out

It's now April 15, which means one thing, Tax Day! Remember to pay your taxes, people! That and now we're one month away from the start of the 2015 Pacific Hurricane Season and one and a half month till the Atlantic Hurricane Season.

Colorado State University released their numbers last week, predicting a quiet season despite a El Nino season taking over. CSU is predicting that this season, we'll see 7 named storms, 3 of which will be hurricanes, and only 1 to be a Category 3 or higher.

No report from neither The Weather Channel nor the National Hurricane Center. We'll wait for that in the coming months.

yahoo201027 is now predicting that for the 2015 Hurricane Season for the Atlantic, 4-9 Named Storms, 1-3 Hurricanes, and 0-2 Major. The reason is simple. El Nino, heard reports that it will play a major role in the season. That was the first, the second is the Dry Air. Coming from the Sahara Desert, dry air and tropical systems don't mix, like peas and mashed potatoes. And third, wind shear. Strong wind shear. A strong wind shear is like a paper shredder, it will rip that system apart. A weak wind shear will make the system favorable to develop.

Beside the predictions, the names for the 2015 Season. These names get recycled every 6 years unless a name or two begins to f**k shit up. This year, we got the list from the 2009 Season.

No names were replaced from 2009. The first name on the list for the 2015 season is "Ana". Yes, Ana, that same name that almost impacted Hawaii last October. Prepare for the "Frozen" references! After Ana is Bill, then Claudette, Danny, Erika, Fred, Grace, Henri, Ida, Joaquin, Kate, Larry, Mindy, Nicholas, Odette, Peter, Rose, Sam, Teresa, Victor, and Wanda.

Then comes the Pacific...

...again, no names were replaced from the 2009 Season. The first name on the list will be "Andres". After Andres, comes Blanca, then Carlos, Dolores, Enrique, Felicia, Guillermo, Hilda, Ignacio, Jimena, Kevin, Linda, Marty, Nora, Olaf, Patricia, Rick, Sandra, Terry, Vivian, Waldo, Xina, York, and Zelda.

That's it for now, at least. As we wait for The Weather Channel and the National Hurricane Center to release their predictions for the 2015 Hurricane Season. Until then, prepare now rather than later.
